This is going into my Terminator future war diorama. This was one of a two vehicle set I bought at Big Lot last year around Christmas, both were pretty close to 1:18th scale. I think this car is a 2009 Corvette Z06?
I did a LOT of research on how vehicles looked that were exposed to high temperatures...this car is supposed to look like it was exposed to a nuclear bomb blast. It was going to end up looking rough on purpose so I didn't try to keep things too clean. There were holes in the roof and hood that were filled in with paper clay. The interior was constructed with index cards and wire for the steering wheel and seat springs.
The body was disfigured using a blow torch and sodering iron.
The charred/carbonized effect was created using a sandy acrylic texture medium slathered on with a plastic knife.
