They should have used that glider for the Grunt. That other one is just flat out stupid.

Honestly, they both look stupid...Grunt's being just slightly more so.

I like Sky Dive's glider pack...but why paint it uniformly chocolate/crap brown?

Probably to match the shit they produced of a figure? Only one I would even consider at this point is Big Boa and that depends on what he looks like. Still, anything more than $15 a figure is obscene for this scale. MOTU is $20 a figure.

Topside was the only figure that impressed me so far, and it's more for the decent head sculpt than the figure itself.

If the Club was smart, they'd sell the new head sculpts separately. Of course, they would probably charge $10, with another $10 in shipping...

I'm still curious how Covergirl will turn out.

Can't say I'm a big fan of Big Boa, although that IDW Cobra II series made me appreciate him more.

That IDW Big Boa was a beast! I'd even settle for something like that. I just want a proper trainer.

I would too. That face mask of vintage BB never appealed to me. IDW's BB was someone you could look in the eye and respect (as he's kicking your ass and dislocating your shoulder).

Oooh, I forgot about Big Boa. He's up there with CG. I never cared for him, but after all the hoopla about him, I want him now. I had him lined up as a custom, but I'm betting he's almost 95% Resolute RB. He needs new webgear though, but I bet we get that wacky Jetpack Duke harness.

I guess they could but that may still be too small. IDW made him out to be a monster.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought nano-BAT is the worst so far. And I kinda like Quarrel (but again, not $20+ for a repaint like).

No, you're right... Nano-B.A.T. is the worst. Quarrel's probably second-worst. I love the B.A.T.s but that concept alone, not to mention the coloring, is stupid. Quarrel is just lame, since she's using a 5 year old mold that was lame when they debuted it.

Yeah, I've been wanting that torso in "white" for awhile now. For Roadpig and Big Boa. Looks like Hasbro/The Club are going to be taking some of that work out of it for me, at a premium pricetag.

I think we're in complete agreement. I love BATs, too (as far-fetched as they are, they appeal to the kid in me), but a day-glo green "nano-"BAT fails twice as hard because of sacrilege.

Well, I love B.A.T.s because I always wanted them as a kid, but never got the "good" version from Sunbow. I only got the DiC ones, with the orange and neon green. Which I hated. So when the 25th B.A.T. came out, I seriously went nuts buying them. I have probably 15-20. Which is beyond stupid. I bought a good deal of them at TJMaxx/Marshall's when they were only $4. What a great figure. It may be my favorite 25th figure. Now, I put up with all the repaints because I can repaint them to match the single-carded one. I added a black wash to all the one-off versions that came in the DVD sets, etc. so that they matched, but I drew the line at the "Resolute" repaint. I have one Jungle-B.A.T. just because it came in that wave, and he's still carded. I really, really like that mold, but holy shit, stop with the repaints.

I still can't understand the fanboy love for that ghastly Nano version. So dumb.

Quoted for truth, my friend.

I've come to a realization recently, and the Club Sub has reinforced this: I may not be the Joe fanboy I thought I was, and I'm OK with that. I love vintage O-rings, and I love the military-"realistic" PoC-esque figures, but slapping a "GI Joe" label on something in no way guarantees I'll be remotely interested in it...

It makes you a realist and probably very responsible. You have to figure that collecting is a form of hoarding if you accept everything thrown at you. I was like that with the 25th and have greatly scaled back to buying almost only diorama accessories. Hell, on my recent toy run I ended up spending my money at a craft store! Some people that get carried away let the stuff engulf their lives and lose sight of everything else. Look at Joe Con last year.

The club will cater to those that feel the need to have ARAH and some others in a modern era sculpt but by no means is it worth the loot to me. I'm one who likes to actually set up scenes and use the figures instead of look at them on a wall. I would love to see some cool modern made figures similar to what I grew up with but I can probably get the original much cheaper.

see S6 did that for me lol to me this suc thing is a huge failure as we all know they will be 20+ a fig . for most of us that is way to much for these POS figs. as of right now with the ones we have seen its not worth getting the line when there is only 1 i want so far now and that is dice. so im better off getting it from the 2ndary market. so the 2 im looking to see how good or bad are is BB & cover girl. witch ill just get off the 2ndary market as well lol if they look good. right now i dont have much faith in the club to make them home runs.

I'm calling Sure Fire next! :D
If he looks anything like a generic SWAT member then I may keep him.

There's no way they're gonna top the Shock Trooper for generic S.W.A.T. body and gear.

The Play-Doh armor of the Mega Marines was less eye-gouging.

Well, they are at least getting to the "I won't ever let go of the past" people. Hopefully that stuff stays in the club and off the shelves.

They really never should have done Pilot Scarlett, either, as she's one of them South American figures that none of us knew about until Joes became a collectible.
