Finally found an Ace helmet and painted it up, thought it would make a cool Russian cosmonaut or Cobranaut. I need to find some way of making a connection between the helmet and collar ring. Not sure what else to do, sort out a space-y looking pack, maybe put some of those ice cleats from Arctic Snakeyes on his feet.

I think you may want to hit that collar with a hair dryer and get that helmet seated or main man there is gonna dye of exposure.

Yeah, I know. But even if I fix the collar, there isn't a "lip" for the helmet to slip over, or vice versa.

He's in the leaky suit brigade, I'd say his chances of survival were minimal at best under the best circumstances, reguardless of helmet closure ;)

Thanks Eddie.

Since posting this, I managed to add a bit of material to the collar so that the helmet doesn't look like it's floating, but there's still a small gap. I don't want to do anything right now to permanently alter the figure. I plan on removing the clear tube on the pack, paint the pack all black and add an air hose from the pack to the helm.

I was also thinking this doesn't have to be a space suit, just a helmet with added visibility for the hazard vipers...sorta like the suits worn in the movie Andromeda Strain.

Added the crampons, just to give it a little something extra. Painted the blue parts on the pack black and added a hose...which I'm not sure I'll keep, seems a bit cliche.
