I love the line of space figures Fisher Price made for their Adventure People, so I had to try and make an updated version of the X-ray man.
I used an early MU Iceman, used RIT dye to get the color and sculpted some hair. The chest design was all painted by hand, looks a little wonky, but other than paying big money to have a waterslide decal made...which I didn't want to do, this was all I could do.

His head sits an a slight downward angle and his hands are stuck in that "startled" position (I tried boiling/repositioning, but it didn't work no matter how many times I tried), but dam his color is pretty spot on!
An x-ray woman is now in the works.

Pretty damn fine update to a very interesting vintage figure. Can't wait to see his female counterpart.

Hey that's a great idea, and a cool fig. I had a ton of those adventure people sets when I was a kid. It's amazing but I think they were the first "3.75" figure. They even used some of them to create the prototypes for the Star Wars figures.

Thank you both. :) I didn't have many AP figures, maybe five or six and a few vehicles, but the ones I had, I still have today. I recently started buying some of the sci-fi themed figures. I bought an original x-ray woman but have YET to get x-ray man!

And I believe you are correct about them being the first 3&3/4 inch figures and that they were used to make the prototypes of the first Star Wars figures.

Makes you wonder why they're so much better than the vintage (hell, they're more interesting, at least, than the PotF2 figures) SW figures..
