I'm coming out and saying it will be better than the first. F-A-C-T

Quiet, you! But yes... it will be a never-produced-by-any-company soldier, that is much needed and deserved.

Nothing but constructive criticism.

What you guys are doing is awesome and I know you'll improve. I mean what you are doing already is better out the gate than Our Wars figs and may just be "The ultimate 1:18 accurate military themed action figure."

It's all good, bro. I appreciate the kind words on this project. All I can say is, given this opportunity to create the exclusive... I'm trying to give you guys "better".

this figure is gold...is the next step on the evolution of GiJOE. will it be available for international shipping?Portugal is ready to receive at least one.

congratulations Obi and the organization of the convention

Thanks, Joe! If you want one, you'll get one.

F..k I am getting one of these, and whatever Obi creates. It is a sure shot it will be the greatest action figure ever.
If somebody is keeping a list, count me in.

Just for a tidbit of information, and this may change depending on how quickly these go, but we're only working on an initial run of 50 figures, so it may be that we restrict purchases to 1 figure a piece so that everyone who wants one gets a chance to get one. Keep in mind this is virgin ground for a lot of us that are involved, so we're trying to iron out all the kinks. This is an investment in you guys, so we want to make sure we can provide the best product we can, to everyone we can.

That being said, quantities may change at any time, so we just have to wait and see. Once everything has been finalized, we'll be able to give you more information.

And this is why I fucking love this site. Awesome work, Obi, and thanks to the guys behind the scenes who made this all possible.

I hope they're not too expensive - I'll need at least 4 for a fireteam.

I have had the opportunity to hold an Obi custom. And I will tell you that no picture can show the details he puts into a figure. No doubt this one probably has had even more attention taken on it to get it full of even more camera hidden awesome. Man am I excited to see this guy in person at the con!

Beautiful. Did Obi say how the plastic quality was?

no. He called me but I was driving on the highway coming back from the casino and couldn't talk(looking back, I was kinda dickish) so he just sent me the photo on my phone.

I just got home a few minutes ago and posted it.

I covered the front shoulder holes on the master copy, which will be used from here out. What you see here is a first pull sample. Gang mold will be made using "new" shoulder.

Sample feels good, and solid. Joints are 99.9% exactly like the originals. Good flex where needed (limbs, head), while torso and joints/pegs are more rigid. Everything snapped together fairly easily.

Fantastic!...hope the backpack is available separately...

One thing I'd modify if it's not too late, is creating a recess in the under arms so they can lay a bit closer to the body...if it's too late, I'll do it myself ;)

Sooo when you say snapped together...does that mean no gluing required?

What you see, are all the parts cast in that color. At some point, sooner than later, they will be painted in desert operations colors. Not sure who is doing the painting at this point, but I will be doing the initial assembly. If it ain't right, I ain't passing it down the line.

Any chance there will be unpainted versions available?
