I bought Shock Troopers just to sculpt over their joints and give them all 5 points of articulation. Wish I hadn't wasted all that time! Argh! This always happens, Hasbro! I make a custom, then you release the official one!

Haha... Had me rolling.

I would love to see a Shocktrooper army builder pack (even if online only). When that (no idea if it was real or not) Mercer 5-pack viper set had pics online, I was estatic. would have bought as many as i could get, but a shocktrooper pack would have me in the doghouse with my wife for making us broke.

I remember in the heady days of the 25th line having that Cobra Nightforce or whatever pack, with 5 troopers in it. That was pretty cool.. I could totally see them doing something like that with the ST's, maybe even a Commanding Officer ST with some subtle differences.

A set of chevrons on one of the upper arms would be cool. That whole rank chevron on the helmet thing is dated.

I saw alot of that set at TRU for a couple of trips in. Twice I grabbed the Crimson Guard sets because there was only 1 left and multiple nightwatch. on my 3rd trip in to finally get the Nightwatch. they were gone.

Speaking of CG's, I hope they don't bring those back for a LONG time.. so tired of them. I think they really went overboard with the CG's in the 25th line.

I agree. And for some reason I have like 60 of them lol

I wouldn't mind an updated CG. It would be nice if they got the treatment that the Viper and Trooper received.

Yeah, I have a shitload of CGs too, but mostly from the Fred 2-pack. I didn't even open a single-carded one, can you believe that? Although now that I think about it, I may have gotten at least 2 of those 5-packs.

Those troop builder sets were great, but I think they were smart in not releasing the BAT 5-pack or the Viper set with Mercer. While they'd be cool for MISB, I had already gotten my share of both BATs and Vipers by the time they would have released those sets.

I never got a Nightwatch set to open. It'd be cool to get a Nightwatch deco of either 30th blueshirts or the STs, but I think we've seen all of that for the time being for the movie line.

I suppose a 'modern' CG would be cool, but they'd still be fucking RED, which is kind of silly from a tactical standpoint.

The legs on the CG killed me, like they were all wearing skinny jeans and jackboots.

I thought it was fine as a homage to the original but I'm not sure how you'd move them forward.. the RoC line had the crimson vipers or whatever.. which was an interesting idea, but still looked too much like the Koopa troopers.

In the end the CG's will be ceremonial figures only for the most part, and how useful will that be?

I agree that the red isn't practical, but the ARAH enthusiast in me would like a better version, as the legs were stupid on the 25th version, IMO as well.

The CG Immortal was dope. I wish they'd use that design before they redo the 25th CG. He has silly legs, but he could be a lot worse. A lot of people hated the new helmets the 25th got because they were ape-like, but I liked them. They felt like gas masks built in that actually had room for a face underneath.

its cause of the dudes at HT slob'n Hasbros knob over them...i never caered for them either...only one i ever had was/is Fred, and thats because he came with Scar trooper, which my nephew stole...anyone got a spare?

Hasbros problem with five packs is that they always released them AFTER the market had been saturated with single versions and vehicle pack ins...so they tended to shelf warm in my area...

what they needed/need to do is release 5-packs of ALL troop builders first...strike while the iron is hot...personally, if i was selling figures, i'd rather sell 5 at once compared to one...

I have a spare Scar head, I think. I painted over all those yellow webgear and parts with black paint the second I opened them, though.

The CG Immortal design is awesome. I totally agree with you. I've thought about making a custom one for awhile, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Does anyone have pics of the Renegades Cobra Trooper? The stock pics make it looks a little too cartoonish.. is it worth picking up?

Not really worth it I felt. Once they took the shield away it lost a lot of appeal to me. Like you said, it is cartoony looking.

It does look cartoonish, but might make for some decent fodder if you happen to get a 1 or 2. The vest is decent.

It's obvious that they're the underlings of the Cobra organization and spend a lot of time on their knees...

I like him. I'd like him more if he matched the Shock Trooper color palet and had a proper weapon.

His flak vest and masked head look good on the PoC/30th Cobra Trooper, too.
