Anyhoo, about the only thing i took from this episode is that i really wish a Destro figure was coming this year. Really liked the look he was sporting early in the episode.

okay, I watched it and I actually liked it. The bio vipers sucked and Biocord using his superpowers bothered me but overall I really liked this one.
I like the backstory/flashbacks with Scarlett's dad and SE. Baroness/Destro/Mindbender were great. They have alot to wrap up in the next part.

That episode was intially scheduled to be the final episode of season 1, But I did just check and we will see Part 2 next week. Which to me is proof it does not return at all even after GI Joe 2 hits theaters.
My guess is her dad is not dead, he is inside the wormhole. He may even be what is stopping Destro's scanned crystals from working, at least untill he is released.

it's been known for awhile that the last 2 shows was going to be a 2 parter Med.
Based on there track record of nobody staying dead, I think it's a safe bet that her dad is still alive like your saying.
Also, I knew that the series wasn't coming back after "joe2" once they hit it with the Hiatus tag. Motherfuckers!

it wasnt an awful episode at all...had there been robots, or troopers in place of the Booger-Vipers (and Ripcord wasn't also one) it would've been a great episode...
surprizingly, my fave part of the episode was when SE broke into the facility and stole whatever it was he stole...what made me like that part was the music they played when he showed up

I hope the last show is so awesome that they make a 2 hour feature straight to DVD to wrap it up
I just noticed that Comcast xfinity TV has the HUB online for free with any cable package. Looks like 2 episodes at a time. The Hub should advertise that shit to get more viewers.
agreed K-T...aside from the Boogers and super Ripcord, it was a REALLY good episode...CC was freak'n awesome!...the art seemed better...i don't know...it was just good!...
i noticed them trying to slip in other continuity references...Duke picked up the scar from RoC...they used the PoC HISS...mmmm, there was something else...
of corse, when it shows the most potential for FINALLY getting good, its the last we'll ever see of it...they finally get their names cleared, meet up with the rest of the team, annnnnnd done
what really nailed that coffin shut was Sunbow Duke waking up saying "i just had the strangest dream...we were renegades on the run....."

I wouldn't say they used the PoC H.I.S.S.. Sure, they had the same general design (the odd body shape that kind of floated between treads, the twin weapon systems on the "tail"), but they are quite different. Kind of adds to the disappointment. That fucker was huge and we know Hasbro will never do them accurately. They even ditched that stupid wedge drive wheel system design!
Yeah. After the show was off they showed a clip from the the old 'toon with new audio edited in.

As far as I can tell you are linking to the .torrent file (Not even the file, a website with the file) and not the file itself.. so I think it's okay.

That scar is actually from the '60s 12" line. When Hasbro first started releasing the GI Joe 12" line, they couldn't patent the human form, but they could patent a human figure with a scar...so they released their figures with scars.
The RoC Duke was a tribute to that.

??? True...and that's the point. So they patented the 12" figure which represented a human with the scar, which they were eventually awarded a patent.

They didn't patent a human or human figure with scar there, since that's not patentable - note in the link you sent that patents refer to inventions. A guy with a scar on his face might be trademarkable but would never be patentable. The patent you linked to is to a 12" inch figure with unique joints, and that's why it was allowed. The scar has nothing to do with why they were awarded the patent.
Lots of things, including likenesses, are trademarkable.
So no, you can't patent "human figure with scar" but you can patent "12-inch tall representation of human", particularly if you do something that hasn't been done before, like unique joints. I wasn't disputing that they held a patent on the figure, only that the scar had anything to do with the patent.

I think this is the third or fourth time we've been through the "patent/trademark" thing. Not this specific subject though. What was the issue last time we had this discussion?
Someone talking about patents when they meant a mix of copyright and trademark, or vice versa. I don't remember which.
