Good lord he looks like a$$!!...even IF this a "half finished" proto, I'm guessing the finished product will look 95% similar (probably 100%) to the pictured IB...the ONLY thing I could possibly see changing is the head (though I'd be surprised since the one shown is a retool of the ARAH head) and the skirt part being added which might explain the knife sheath strap trailing off to nowhere...

IF they add the skirt part, I MIGHT be interested...otherwise, no thanks..

I still prefer my custom Iceberg, same as my DT (with the Club's head). Mine's not perfect, and I'd like to have arms and legs with zero paint, but even cobbling together webgear I at least took a little effort. Haha.

If they only improve him with a new head (as in a better one), I'll likely do the same with my "free" figure and not bother getting anymore. Pop the official head on my custom and call it a day.

Edit: Wait second, that does look like Hawk's holster. I wonder if the collar is attached.

Probably not as they're 2 separate pieces. They've used that holster a gazillion times without using that collar.

My membership renews in a week and I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep it. Iceberg's not really doing much to convince me, and neither did this year's con exclusives.

Mine was somehow set to auto-renew...wtf, these people should not be storing anyone's financial information longer than necessary to process a purchase.

Although the card they had stored on my account was one of the ones they leaked last year, so it had long been cancelled. I still went on their site and let them know I didn't want it renewed.

IF I was already a member, I'd be canceling also...this years stuff is very unimpressive so far...

IBs kinda of bittersweet to me...I wanted him to suck to save some money, but at the same time I wanted him to be awesome since I really liked the ARAH figure...

Well, I definitely don't need a loose one. And if they sell them carded at the con or later, I might get one for the moc collection. But even then, I'd probably go through the secondary market rather than paying an extra $42 for a membership.

Between IB and the terrible con set, I just don't need to be on their roster just for the *awesome* newsletter.

I wouldn't count on them actually storing that info... My "reminder" e-mail from them said it was set to "auto-renew" and I paid with a money order last year, so they don't have any current, valid payment info on record.

I'll likely renew, but I've got like a week to decide. If we don't get a better head on Iceberg, I won't keep the loose one, just like I didn't keep the loose Dial-Tone. But I'll probably sign up to get the carded one, at least. Like you, I want a carded one, but it's worth it to keep the membership for that.

Even at $42, I think the carded one (once it was available on their site?) was like $30 last year? How much is Footloose going for carded, on the secondary market? I know Dial-Tone is upwards of $200, which is fucking stupid. That figure sucked.

BTW, dammit Fogger! I thought with you posting, someone was posting a pic with the new head! :rolleyes:

I already expect the FSS2 to be semi-worth getting, though. So if you want it, it may be worth still getting the membership. Maybe not now, if you're not into Iceberg, then wait till after it's too late and renew then. You'll get next year's without a waste of $45 or whatever.

So far, the FSS2 is slated to have:

• Falcon (NF) - not one I care about, but maybe he'll look better than the Marauder one if it doesn't in fact reuse the 25th 'tard face head.
• Dragonsky (necessary for OG)
• Big Bear (necessary for OG, plus I want a Big Bear as he looks good regardless of the OG tie-in)

and I fully expect to see at least 2-3 of the Nightforce guys in regular deco. I hope for ones like Muskrat, Repeater and Spearhead, as they seem more popular. That gives 6 or so slots for international or stupid ones that I likely won't want.

I think one or two of those "highly-requested guys" like Muskrat, Repeater or Spearhead may be saved for a future year's membership "free" figure, but I think they'll stick with more popular guys from early ARAH/Sunbow first, then move on to those other guys later. They still have Frostbite, Cross-Country, and they're due for a Cobra by now for the membership figure, so who knows... Maybe we get a decent Monkeywrench finally? I'd be fine with all of those as the free figure, but if they show up in the FSS2, then that's fine by me too.

Look, I'm dumb enough to stick around for at least one more FSS. But they need a better draw for the second series, as the first one was rather lackluster, except for the few personal-favorite gems like Big Boa, Cover-Girl and Dice.
