he's still 25' tall.. he could take a t-rex
no kidding, it was just released so I haven't had a chance to see one in person but the sculpt, accessories and articulation really forced me to order this one
Kids watched Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack last night as a stay up late special. They were surprised to see Godzilla as a evil monster instead of a "friendly" one. So the daughter was disappointed but the boy really enjoyed the flick. I admit, watching this one again really got me excited again for next years Godzilla movie. A nasty force of nature that leaves a radioactive wasteland in it wake.. I can't wait!

Yeah, every time I watch one of the classic Godzilla flicks, I can't help but imagine it's Bobcat Goldthwaite in the kaiju suit.
That was a great movie... I haven't seen it in years. I think that was the first Cusack film I ever saw.

They announced a new SHMA figure (they showed the prototype before) and it weighs in at $240!

Though not a personal favorite it is one I wouldn't mind displaying as it looks freakishly awesome. This comes with a first for the SHMA line and that is electronics. Thankfully its not a speaker of some other annoying bit but the chest piece color fluctuates from yellow to red enabled by a simple switch. Not a fan but I'm sure some out there will go crazy about it. Would be nice if there was a non electronic one out there to reduce cost

SDCC is revealing the new design of the Godzilla 2014 film by Legendary... and I have never been so frantic in my web searching. If I was a "fanboy" of anything it has to be Godzilla... but my fears of just what they are going to do to it weigh heavily... 1998 anyone?

All I've seen worth anything is a scale poster showing how huge his tail is compared to some helicopters...

They still have the "official" statue under wraps as I understand it but its supposed to look a great deal like everything posted above... combined. Take a look at the one poster and then the tail on the statue combine it and I'd be one happy camper! I like the crocodilian look of the bust and the relocated nostrils (from tip of snout to further up).
Regardless a "what would it really be like to have a giant nuclear reactor walking around" is going to be one hell of a movie.

Depending on the price you might be able to squeeze it in. Although I am suddenly missing the old 12" Godzilla that were always clogging the stores at Kaybee.
When I see this Godzilla I picture the plot revolving around an aging Godzilla walking into The city for some fast food, while slowly diying of colesterol. Spoiler alert: After Godzilla finally has a heart attack, his children ravish the city to start the cycle all over again.

You made my day!What the franchise needs is articulated affordable figures, the SH MonsterArts line is amazing but at $60 and up a piece is far too niche to really appeal to anyone but the hardcore fan. That's a shame since the pieces are extremely well done.
With Bandai doing the line for the 2014 I hope to see just that, affordable attractively crafted pieces (i.e.. shit I can play with)

I had to go to my son's AA baseball tournament during the SDCC and I didn't have a reliable wifi signal (KOA... I'm looking at you) and in my feeble efforts of trying to absorb as much as I could about the SDCC through my phone before it died (forgot the phone charger) I didn't get to see/find much so you guys really brought me up on what was a hell of a weekend. Thank you gentlemen!

Aside from how Godzilla looks in 2014 we still don't know how big he's going to be. The largest he ever was, was 100 meters and if we went by poster size he would be about 300 - 400 meters high which puts him as big as the largest monsters in Pacific Rim.
So how big is too big? Godzilla 1954 was about 50 meters, Godzilla 2000 was about 80 meters tall and 92' Godzilla was 100 meters, but with movies like Cloverfield and Pacific Rim that runs a bit small these days.
