Weekend registration is bullshit. People are out of the house and away from computers. Do it Monday morning their time. Weekend registration is going to shut people out and piss them off.

Fuck registration and order the coins based on the average number for attendees over the last couple years and add in 10%. They know how many people have attended in the past so plan for that and factor in an overage.

This is becoming more complicated than it needs to be. Why wasn't this made a priority when the calendar flipped to March? I don't tend to bash the Club but this is their full time fucking job. Once FSS2 final shipment went out, it should be all about JoeCon.

The president of Hasbro had this to say.

"We decided to pull out of producing another GI Joe movie as well as anymore figures as after this latest fuck up by our "fan club", we expect the Joe fanbase to have their identities stolen and be robbed of every penny. In essence, our business plan is there isn't going to be any business."

March??? no no NO! they wanted to be up by Thanksgiving
once January rolled around they should have went into panic mode
now it is just too late might as well cancel JoeCon or delay it

Back out and go back in. Tried F5 a couple times and didn't work.

Just ordered my Hometown Heroes Package and extra bagged set.

I care. Cross Country looks great, especially after last year's flub with Iceberg.

About half the JoeCon set is something I'd take in ME format, and I've got a hookup through a friend for a bagged set. I guess that's not a 100% guarantee but I trust the channel it's coming through, but if it falls through then I won't be buying the whole set.

I sure as hell didn't think it was worth it to buy the boxed set and waste money and time trying to get their Homefront Heroes set this year. (I got the last 2 sets, and cherry-picked the Brazil set for the handful of figures I wanted from that.)

I very well may get one or 2 of the Con exclusive figures (I'll definitely get a carded Cross Country) but that all depends on what the figures are. Last year, I split the 2-pack with Hellion, and I got the Darklon set from the year before, but I've passed on all the others.

Had the Club not fucked up nearly every month's shipment this year of the FSS (I'm still waiting on replacements of the 2 OGs that arrived smashed before I open the other set I have) and not dicked around with registration until the last possible minute, I very well may have gotten a boxed set. I was even considering going to JoeCon back in the fall when all this wasn't completely botched, but fuck the Club. They still make figures I want, so I'll get the ones I really want but they've all but ruined my enjoyment of the few figures they've produced this year that didn't suck because of all their bullshit.

I bought the set, though mostly for the cobras, and I partnered on it with a couple people so I paid a greatly decreased amount, and I get to photograph them all for the site as part of the deal. I already had the money budgeted for this, and the guys going in on it with me, for a couple months now, so it wasn't a huge deal. If I hadn't, I would have just ignored this whole fiasco.

I'm not attending and I wasn't interested in the set, but I ordered a shirt and a coin. And yes I know the coin is a rip, but I thought it was cool.

ARAH fag.

If Rex is a fag, then I'm color me gay too. '82-'86 is my Joe so Cross Country, Footloose, Dial Tone, hell even the F'd up Iceberg is fine by me. A friend painted a skirt from Arctic Snake Eyes and he looks much better. Now if the Club could just send us the original head.

Cross Country does indeed look amazing...occasionally OCCASIONALLY they do something right...

They do better figures than customer service.

The fact they stated "We don't generally do this" in regards to stating when JoeCon registration is to go live is a fucking joke. Every other organization that sells tickets to an event states when tickets/registration will take place. The Club needs to respect it's members and give everyone a fair shot.

The added skirt does look much better...but why did you add a vintage head??

Also, Jesse, if you're reading this, WTH is the Iceberg upgrade kit you planning on doing?

Rex, are you wishing you went now?

“Hey Joe Fans, it’s CLASS time!

As you know, we are hosting a customizing class for the GI Joe Collector’s Club in Dallas on Thursday April the 10th. The times for the class have been moved up slightly to 8AM, so be aware. This will get you out earlier for package pick-up.

This year’s class is a bit different than what has been put together in the past in that it’s a more directed build, instead of the usual custom free-for-all. The figure we’ll be working on, and that you’ll receive parts for this year is “Chefâ€￾.
You may not be aware, but Starduster (Action Stars Cereal Premium Mail Away) was originally supposed to be a different character who was the GI Joe team’s mess cook. The original figure used most of the same parts we saw on Starduster, but with a couple of differences and some new parts. We are paying homage to this bit of GI Joe lore but building a modern update of this character.

The parts for Chef that will be provided in class will all be cast in two different densities of commercial grade urethane resins and made in their base colors. The parts list includes:

head- 30th Lifeline casting
torso- 3 pack Firefly torso (modified to remove the turtleneck)
shoulder rings & hardware for the torso with pistol
shoulder holster- modified Zandar holster
apron- new 3D digital sculpt piece by Boss Fight Studios
utensils (slotted spoon, frying pan, soup ladle)- new 3D digital sculpt pieces by BFS
waterslide Navy forearm tattoo (all the best military cooks are from the Navy, ‘natch)
zombie brain (yes, you read that right)

Also included are new 3D digital design accessories to build your own “Honey-Do House BATS. These are three brand new parts that like the Chef, are only available in this class and nowhere else. These parts include:
vacuum with hose
hedge trimmer
pneumatic toilet plunger

For your Chef build, you should plan to bring arms and legs that will complement the parts we’ve listed. The images of Chef showed that he was to have used the ARAH Flint arms, so short sleeves and gloves would be appropriate. If you want to use parts currently available at retail, we suggest: Tracker Kwinn or Ultimate Flint.

Regarding legs for your Chef figure, we suggest anything that has a bloused mid length boot and basic thighs. Knife scabbards or holsters will prevent the apron from fitting properly, so bear that in mind.

We are providing paints, glue, brushes and cutting tools for the build. If you have a favorite set of brushes or paints that you prefer, please do bring them. There will be a small selection of donor body parts available for those first time customizers who have not acquired a “morgueâ€￾ of parts to choose from yet. Please only plan to use the morgue if you do not have any parts of your own to choose from.
Well, there you go! The guys from Boss Fight Studios and myself (John “Alyoshaâ€￾ Russell) with Paul “Raginspoon’â€￾ Kirschstein are very much looking forward to hosting this class, and meeting all of the attending GI Joe customizers in person.

See you there!

Rex, are you wishing you went now?

Honestly, I think I would enjoy that. If I had gone, that and the non-existent Hasbro panel and the Club panel were about the only things I'd be interested in attending. Fuck their stupid casino night and other raffle nonsense. I have NEVER won a raffle and I do not want to even bother with that crowd.

It's probably best that they fucked around until the 11th hour on registration, because I would've been pissed had I signed up 2 months ago and then found out all the fallout news about Hasbro not even bothering (and with the non-existent movie news, probably part of the reason Hasbro ain't even botherin' to care).

Maybe a caster will sell copies, but since Alyosha's running part of it, and it's a Con-exclusive event, he's probably going to be tight-fisted on selling them later. Or maybe he will, but with him being the only outlet, it may as well not even exist. I've got no personal beef with the guy, but I'm not buying from him ever again after all the documented delays on his stuff.

There's a chance Raginspoon might have some, as he's also involved.

Let's hope. Anything done by Boss Fight for Joe is gold, if you ask me, and it'd be nice if they at least made some of the parts available.

From the sound of it though, they won't be distributing it elsewhere. A shame, really. Cool, I guess if you go, but I'm a fan of making all parts available to fans, none of this exclusive horseshit. Despite having paid a pretty penny to obtain certain items, the cost doesn't bother me so much as the parts not being made available at all.

Glad the three BAT attachments are stupid...funny and cool, but stupid...nothing necessary basically...
