So the size is exactly 20 x 16...measured it this morning. Regular price is $29.99 - 25% rollback to $22.49 before tax. It was $24 and change all said and done.

The logo partially over the edge is not that bad...It would have been horrible without that added border. The whole thing would have been on the top right corner.

I am pretty sure that is Recondo in the Whirlwind art.... :p

Me too. This is Outback, from the same page:

Ha, you guys kill me.

All GIFing aside, that's Hawk manning the MMS. I was thinking about this as I worked on the image the other day. Grunt, Zap, RnR, and Short-Fuze are the ones not obvious. I assume that GS is wearing the jetpack since the HAL driver has brown straps. Which could mean that Grunt or Zap is likely in the HAL, but as a heavy ordinance guy, Zap makes more sense.

The RAM driver has short sleeves, indicating that it's probably RnR. That really just leaves Grunt and Short-Fuze as unidentified, IMO. You know, unless they pop out from behind something... :)

So maybe I need to increase the black border to 1 3/4 inches or so? I really am going to give this a whirl next week.

yep...might have a smidge of black on the front...but that probably would look fine.

Nacho, you think you could borrow the area from that other one I posted, and match it up enough and then add a new Joe logo on it in a new area?

*maybe* ... Borrowing from another image of far lower resolution with different color levels... I have no doubt I could make it passable, but I likely wouldn't be thrilled with the result.

I'd be more inclined to 'shop the logo out myself and put a new one in rather than borrow from that other image. In fact, I'm fairly certain that I did that already with the one I made from the catalog scan a few years ago. Give me a few days. I'm sure I'll have a slow afternoon in the office one day next week, and I'll give it a shot.

Just to be uber picky (can't remember that damn umlaut ISCII), those "Skystrikers" look much more like F-15's and vague enough in detail that could almost pass for F-22's nowadays. F-14/Skystrikers have a much more open bottom (dirty cats!) where the pancake fuselage meets the large intakes and a more triangular overall profile, even with the wings swept forward, compared to boxier Eagles. Those planes are F-15's, which makes you wonder how much access the artist had to Hasbro's plans. All the vehicles and figures in that painting are from 1982 and are "friendlies." I wonder if Hasbro mentioned they were planning on making a jet and the model number was miscommunicated.

Any info as to the artist's identity? This had to have been in a past Club newsletter.

Ram driver also has a light beard, and has straps that only hit his upper body, so I was assuming it was a green X-bandolier like RnR's.

I couldn't tell if Short-fuze was manning the MMS or firing off his mortar with someone else hidden manning the MMS? Like I said, all those O13 guys with the blander designs just blended together anyways.

Maybe Hawk is not in the field that day? :)
