Are they? If I have time I'll swing by the Matty or MOTUC booth. I am interested in seeing Grayskull. I have to be careful though, or else I'll want to collect yet another line.

Even if that happens, it's not too big a deal...the line is pretty small, so there's not too much to collect...and it gets even smaller when you discount all the weird figures you've never heard of and the ones you have heard of but have no desire to own...I think I have between 20 and 30...there's only a couple more i even want and only a couple that if they do make, that I'd pick up...

Yeah.

Sadly, there are too many Gygor, Lazerlot, Cy Chop and other oddball figures in the line to sustain a normal subscription service for the fans.

IF Mattel's people (looking at you Scott Nietliech, you worthless ratfuck) would quit telling lies, promoting obfuscation and hiding what's in the subscription service, then it would probably be a lot more attractive to potential customers.

Castle Grayskull is a scandal unto itself, and after hearing Dicklich say it's "still not completed," I am grateful to have cancelled my order to that thing.

Third Party CG's are out there, you just have to find them.

So much potential wasted, so much misleading behavior and chicanery, so much crap foisted on us....

The line itself has been abandoned by MANY people, and it's mostly due to Mattel's people screwing it all up.

It's hard to blame the fans on ANY of this, given how much garbage has been thrown our way.

This latest "Fuck You" from Mattel regarding Clamp Champ is yet another reason why people have packed up their money and interest, and gone elsewhere.

Fixed that for ya ;)

the reason they are hiding it is because it's loaded to the rafters with sh!t...if they listed what was in it, they'd lose subscribers quick and they know it...

Yeah, I hate it has to be this way.

I've never heard of the guy with the Sled. He actually looks cool, but I think I'll have to give him a less gay name.

Agree, and I like the sky sled. Would prefer Battle Ram, but welcome the old school stuff.

PS....

DH, I have respect for you especially, since you are subject to extra taxes and fees on top of high prices to simply keep up with this hobby. Cheers, bud.

Heh, I just scour the boards for deals and get everything shipped loose so I don't pay that much extra. $50 is the most I've spent on a figure - Whiplsh, Scareglow and Beastman.

I honestly think this is the best toyline ever to customise. Every figure has interchangable parts. Why can't other toylines have standard size joints as well?

Good points, bro, and good for you on keeping up without getting killed on pricing.

Anyone see the remajnder of the 2013 schedule?

I really am relived with the Filmation sub. I welcome Strong-Arm and Sea Hawk. Nepthu will grow on me, as I do appreciate ancient Egyptian history. Dodged a damn bullet on Plundor, as I was worried Mattel might try some shit where I get stuck with that idiotic thing via Filmation sub.

Standard 2013 subbers look to be screwed, as Geldor looks really boring and Dactys and Plundor are total wastes.

Horde Troops, Sky Sled and Mantenna look great.

Regarding 2014, looks like my wish list has mostly come to fruition.

Two Bad, Glimmer, Modulok all look great, with Hydron being my favorite sculpt of the bunch. As a diver, I think he looks awesome, and certainly the arch enemy of Mer Man.

MOTU Classics has an unofficial fan page at FB loaded with images.

Also have occassionally been to mattycollector.com for photos as well.

Preternia has even published the figure schedule spanning through March 2014.

My concern is that Nietlich is going to disallow us non-subbers from buying Mantenna as some sort of sick, twisted punishment for not doing as he says.

That's my lock of the week, anyway.

Oh I'm certain all us non subscribers will pay through the nose on ebay getting anyone's we desire...there's rarely, if ever, extras...they make just enough for subs now and the early access gets any leftovers...

Yeah.

I was lucky to get CC for 48 shipped.

Got him in a pre-sale the hour that Nietlich announced that non-subbers are not allowed to get him DOS.

Gonna have to watch the boards like a hawk about Mantenna, and will post to this board if and when the shenanigans come into play.

I wonder if this is similar to the Walmart that had a shit-ton of those two figures at an endcap? Just a store close to the warehouse getting overstock, and not a nationwide deal.

Still, I'll look next time I'm in.

I just now saw the "updated" Grayskull. Looks good with the jawbridge down, there isn't a step down from the jaw bridge to the inside of the castle (was on the vintage too) but the base now looks like shit. Hope they taper it a bit on the sides where the bridge drops because those angles look terrible in contrast to the round stone of the castle. my .02 anyway

and who displays this shit anyway? She-ra on Battlecat? They couldn't use the bubble model instead... that dame knows how to spread her legs!

Wow, that is quite a selection.

To think that we are forced to pay 30+ per figure on Mattel's page is absurd.

I will buy Leech, Man E Faces, Clawful, Grizzlor, and Photog (yellow-blue guy) from you.

Impressive finds.

I stopped in, but my local BL had jack shit. There's one about 25 min away, but fuck that.

They did have the DC Green Lantern figures, so maybe they'll get them eventually?

I cut the coat off Molarr and put thr blue snake armor from the snake men 2 pack on him instead. I classify him as an Eternian Dentist who relays secret information to King Hiss. I also made Spector put on thr blue snake men armor, and he serves King Hiss as a saboteur and assassin.

After my haul at BL last week, I stopped by there today to verify if there was another run.

To my shocking surprise....

There was NOTHING left.

Someone evidently went in there (as far back as a few days ago) and bought the Catra, Snout Spout, Megator, Molarr and Carnivus figures that I happily left behind.

Who buys that kind of line-up????

So if it makes anyone feel better, Matty is offering the Ecto-1 to GB fans at the same low preorder price of $299 as Cottage Greyskull.

While I'm still not thrilled with what we get for the money on the CG, it beats the hell out of a 1:12 scale car. GB fans must be even more willing to bend over than MOTU fans...

Why do I doubt that it will actually be a 1:12 '59 Cadillac Miller-Meteor?

It'll be "scale" just like the original, and for $215-$265 that sure as hell ain't gonna cut it.

As a huge Ghostbusters fan, the only slime I see on the Ecto 1 project is Scott Nietlich. If Mattel would just shitcan that lying sack of garbage, I might actually "sub in" for it. But as long as he's involved.....

Fool me oncen (MOTU) shame on you. Fool me twice (Ecto 1) shame on me.

PS...

Here is some video of the SDCC coverage from Pixel Dan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snNR3hpI-xQ

Note that around 22:16, Dicklich refers to Sky High as the "most obscure figure ever done." All the while wearing a fucking "Spector" T-Shirt. The irony and lies never end with that douche.

There is definitely a Scalper in my area.

I was at Big Lots the other day, and there were 3 new Mossmen and 3 new Orko figures on the pegs. I bought one Orko set, and left the rest.

Came back a couple days later to see if anything new had surfaced, and the other 5 figures were GONE.

It's easy to surmise this is a scalper or some other form of zealot. Who buys 2 Orko and 3 Mossmen figures? My other conjecture is that this is the same guy who bought the Carnivus, Snout Spout, Catra and Molarr figures I left behind a couple weeks ago.

You can't even customize Mossman without going through the hell of removing that fuzz and glue, so I am hard pressed to believe this is a customizer. The only saving grace may be that he seeks to trade these with other fans at one of the MOTU sites.

Eh....

Would like to get Man-E-Faces and Buzz-Off for 10 dollars each, but I have a feeling that won't happen. Anyone find those two and is willing to trade or sell?
