Mauser 98

I'm trying to find 98 model rifles that are as close as possible to 2.50" or 2.75". Anyone know of a version fitting this measurement?

Bravo Team K98's are approximately 2.25". A bit short and a bit undersized in general. The "K" stands for carbine, so it would be shorter than the full length earlier model anyway. Even with that, they're still undersized in general mass.

If I need to take a good K98 and lengthen the front, that's fine. Just need a "good" one to work with.

Any ideas?

21st's barely noses in at 2 1/2", but that's it's only pro.

Dragon's looks the best but is short. It's really a ground-up project.

Is it more accurate in mass, or bulk? How short is it? Comparison pics maybe... please

It looks like a 98 should, except perhaps in 1:19. A 1:18 98K should come in under 2 1/2" (2.42 or abouts).

Aaaaand my camera battery just died. I'll do a ten minute partial charge and take a pic, as the one I was working with is probably now gone.

I got nothing for this thread...but I love it when two people who know their stuff talk shop and help each other out. This is what the community should be about. Not the other way.

Yeah... I would need to extend the front section by .25 to get a more proper G98 length.
