mini PE-11 SFX "review"

this isn't gonna be a wordy review...not much i can say that hasn't already been said...

what i did want to show was some pictures for scale...i knew these guys were small, but i really had no idea just how small until i got them in hand...even the package was small, like a little box of rice...

all in all, i'm really impressed by them...very durable feeling for how tiny they are...nice solid clips that keep everything in place...

also of note that i have not read anywhere is the tiny little holder that clips into a small slot in the bots backs that hold an equally tiny knife...COOL!

How big were they in the cartoon? I can't remember, but this makes them tiny-tiny. Still, I think I like them better than the TFC version coming out, simply because they're essentially triplets. That was always what I liked about them, that they were 3 nearly identical figures that merged together to make a camera.

i'm thinking in the toon they were probably Frenzy/Rumble size, though i'm not 100% on that...in the comics i have, this is how they seem to be sized also

i like their size next to what will be Devastator...and next to that mini Prime i got, they'll be like half to 2/3s his size, which IMO, is perfect...

But then in the toon you had Megatron transforming into a gun small enough for another robot to hold in one hand, and Bumblebee's robot mode looking almost human-sized riding in the back of Ironhide's van mode.

Still, these toys are pretty cool.

don't even get me started on scale inaccuracies Fled...so irritating...i loved how Astrotrain was the same size in bot mode as the rest of the decepticons, but then he turned into a ship and ALL the decepticons would pile inside him...ummm, ohhkay...?

I had the original TF set minus the package, sold it for a mint on eBay.

hey bob, they are made by a third party company, not connected to Hasbro in any way, by the name of Perfect Effect...very nice little set IMO
