Keep hoping Kokomo Toys starts the pre-orders...much friendlier prices and you can order individual figs.

We should all pool together to buy 1 Prof X from Kokomo and have TJ cast it for us. It would be much cheaper lol

Not impatience, but knowing that finding one, let alone multiples at retail will be near impossible...

Personally, I'd rather go without...I don't need suited twins that bad...

I imagine if enough of them move they'll drop him in a revision case somewhere down the road.

Pffft...that would be logical...so no, they won't do that...c'mon, you know that...all sarcasm aside, they won't do that...they've know for many many years that we desperately want a suited figure...the first two are SDCC exclusives...

If you happen to ever see Prof X at retail, snap a pic of Bigfoot standing in the aisle next to you...

Not going to find him at retail in my neck of the woods...Target had at last count 15 Gladiator figs warming.

I thought Kokomo would have them at pre-order for a couple of bucks more than retail like they have for all their figs...what a shame.

I'll just send him an SDCC destro...no need to buy him.

Lol...If we're lucky they'll release more Thors and Iron mans and spidermans and cap'ns...can NEVER have enough of them...kids love having mega battles of 10 each of those four...like massive clone wars...I know I did...I hated the non core characterrrr...oh wait, no i didn't...

Kokomo autodeclined $15 and $17 offers...knowing their past best offer deals, they won't accept anything less than 25.00

I think that is what the area Targets here have as well...:(

I want the Hulk from the MU line and possibly the darker painted Spiderman...I have the super articulated Spidey from the movie line...looks like the MU version isn't so bright?

On another note...I found a Marvel Hawkeye on Avengers card last night...pretty cool looking figure...tucked him away on a top shelf...I may go back and get him...

It's funny, my target has nothing but a dozen gladiator figs too. He must have been packed heavily in a revision case. But he's obscure, no kid knows who he is, aaaaaaaaand he's peg-warming. While I hate it, this is exactly why we get so many damn Thor, Cap , Spidey, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Hulk. Gladiator doesn't sell all that well. Neither did Namor. Or Guardian. Or Falcon. Or Ronin.

Don't you have to be an '80s-early '90s X-Men fan to even know/care about Gladiator? And what are the chances they even consider doing any of the other Imperial Guard members?

You don't, he's been prominent in a lot of non-X-related titles in the past few years.

Really? Must have been a fan as a child and is now a writer at Marvel.

Next you'll tell me Corsair is popular.

KT isn't that far off. Prior to "War of Kings", he'd only had a bit role here and there since the original Dark Phoenix saga. And War of Kings wasn't all that popular or well received, IIRC, and it seems to have been forgotten or pushed aside rather quickly.

And the odds that we'll be getting other imperial guard members, starjammers, or shi'ar in figure form seems somewhat remote. That's why it bugs me. No kid knows who he is, and alone without any of those other characters from that corner of the MU/X-Men universe, he's somewhat useless. I'm glad they made him, but he's somewhat of an orphan figure for the moment.

And Corsair is not popular; he's dead.

Enh, we're halfway to having the Annihilators with him. Now we just need Ikon (yeah right), Quasar (also unlikely) and Ronan (ummm...).

Yeah, so... He is an odd figure. Even if I liked War of Kings. :)

If any Shi'ar was gonna get a figure you'd think it would be Lilandra. She was married to the Prof., at least.

Well, I don't read GotG or Nova, so if he's been there I wouldn't have noticed. Marvel Cosmic just doesn't blow my skirt up unless the X-Men are having a space adventure. But other than a couple of pages in a peripheral AvX issue, I haven't seen Gladiator in a while.

Now, Kid Gladiator... he's friggin' awesome! They need to make a figure of him.

That would have been my thought on it.

Hell, do Wolverine and include a friggin' Fang head sculpt.

Ch'od is just a slight modification of a hulk body and could be reused for Abomination.
Corsair and Raza would be standard bucks.
Hepzibah just needs a little tail added to a female buck, preferably the she-hulk one.
Maybe a tiny little Sikorsky accessory...

And while that would make a neat pack, I'm still waiting on a ton of higher-profile X-Men. Where's Dazzler (the blue suit version). Rogue in the black leotard and green halter-top. Rachel Summers in the red, studded hound outfit? Kitty Pride in the blue shadowcat costume. A british outback armor Psylocke? Megan? Would it kill them to round out Excalibur?

I know Rogue and Longshot are coming, but Rogue is the later Jim Lee version (nice, but not my fav). How about a non-cat Beast? Or maybe a 3-pack of marauders, reavers, or missing members of Freedom Force? I have a dream of amassing the outback era team. I would love to have enough characters to make an Inferno dio. Or maybe a Fall of the Mutants "Eagle Plaza" dio with all the cops, indians, viet cong, etc. It would be wild!

I know the avengers are hot at the moment, and it was a great movie, but next to the X-Men, I find the avengers really really boring. So many characters, and I feel like Hasbro focuses on the ones that I have the least interest in.

Man, why do the comic packs have to be so much. I usually just need one fig for fodder. I passed up the Thanos/warlock and iron man/ mandarin packs because of this.

Yeah, not only are they expensive, but they're mostly repaints. You occasionally get a Wonder Man / Quicksilver pack or a Gambit /Sinister pack... but most are Wolverine vs Hulk, Wolverine vs Cap, Wolverine vs She-Hulk, Wolverine vs Silver Samurai, Wolverine vs Sabretooth... Holy f#%$ I have a lot of Wolverine figures!

Yeah, I wanted a Mandarin figure, but I wasn't going to pay $20. I need a 247th IM figure like I need a hole in the head.

EDIT: So I just checked my spreadsheet, and apparently I found the single pack Mandarin in the final wave of the IM2 line, pleasantly in a far more subtle green and gold color scheme. (I've slept since the IM2 figures came out... it's why I keep a spreadsheet). Now I'm REALLY glad I didn't pay $20 for not one, but two bad repaints!

Yeah, I found that green Mandarin but I kind of want to scalp it instead of busting it open and using it for customs.

Back to the Professor X problem. You can still get that SDCC 2 pack that uses that suit for $40. If the Professor X ends up being the next Renegades SS, there's that option as a consolation.

Renegades SS is rare?! (I haven't been keeping up. I just bought mine through BBTS, put them in storage, and forgot about them).

I knew that last couple of IM2 waves were tough to come by. But I didn't know green mandarin was scalp-worthy. I really should pay more attention. When I get my house finished and get the last several years of toys out of storage, I'm going to have to inventory everything and figure out what's rare.

Still, I'd be tempted to rip that guy open b/c red mandarin just isn't working for me.

I'm just empowering the word "scalp". Green Mandarin is one of several figs I own that are only in my collection for trades down the road for figures I want. It's going for about $30-$40 on ebay... or they are just web warming at that price and no one's budging. Tough to say. :pirate:

I know X has been out in Asia, and I heard that he's been spotted in Mexico, but that's the first I've heard of anything in the states. BBTS says feb or march IIRC.

GB, still, it's good to have some hard-to-find figures in the arsenal. I have the problem that I either want to keep them or use their parts for something else. I struggle to part with my rare pieces, but I might talk myself into it, as I probably have some gems hiding in my collection if I researched it.
