Very cool work. you may get frustrated now that nobody is making any new 1:18th scale pieces but dont let that put you off there are still lots of items available but unfortunately some folks think that there pieces are worth way more than they are worth but there are still those who are still in a reality zone LOL. By your pics though it looks like you have a real talent for custom work so...... Welcome and Build On Dude!!

Looks like it's using the True Heroes Sentinel 1 helicopter that showed up about a year before TrU went under. It's a big bird, but yeah, not actually to-scale.

Yep, that's the one. I tried to make it look like a Pavelow III, as you say. I also have a Bbi Pavehawk I will post soon.

I've actually been doing this for years, I'm just new to the forum. The Huey Venom was fun, the blades are from eBay and are real RC rotor blades, the blade mounts are from a Tonka helicopter, the next part of the engine is from the Chap Mei Chinook. Next is a plastic toy boat, and the intake/exhaust are vintage Robotech legs! Great to have a selection of parts to work with! I think many 1/18 military kit-bashers wonder how to built a good looking Chinook helicopter and I think I figured it out...I have an idea to take an incomplete Chap Met C-130 airplane, remove the wings and mount the Chap Mei Chinook engines and actual RC blades on top. Finding good siding will be a challenge as it is a very specific shape. I think I will paint it matte black, ala the SOAR special ops version and strap on a refueling boom. Here are some more including my Bbi Pavehawk and my Honey Badger MATV/MRAP:

And some more, here's the Venom pics. I like to buy broken or incomplete helis off eBay. This Huey was missing a door, the main and tail rotors and a tail fin. It gave me the chance to mod it without feeling like I was wrecking something that was already complete. I hack sawed the front gun and the old engine and replaced them as shown. The Huey body is obviously the 21st Century version.

What kind of helicopters are those?

The NOTAR MD-500 is the Bbi version, the Dauphine is the World Peacekeepers, the Pavelow is of course Chap Mei, the Black Falcon is a combination of the Gi Joe Night Attack and GI Joe Black Dragon, The Huey Venom is the 21st Century and the bulbous one is actually a Hello Kitty Airplane that I modded for kicks!

I take it that you scratch-built the main rotor on that Venom? I've got a long-suffering Huey project and have thought about putting historically inaccurate 4-blade main and tail rotors on it.

That is certainly a big helo collection.. wow.. good job on the Huey, up close you can tell, but from a little bit back it is pretty passable. A lot of the stuff is, especially using perspective with the shots.

Yes, from scratch (see above for details). You know,m there are so many Huey variants, maybe you can find one that will fit your parts.

Won't be 21st Century, as they're long dead and gone. Hell, I'm not even sure if JSI is still at it, and they're the ones in possession of a number of the old 21st Century Toys molds.

Man, anyone else remember when JSI showed those F-15I and J-11BS prototypes?

I really thought JSI was going to be the savior after the F-14 ACTUALLY came out. I mean, I guess they did the most of anyone this decade.. but still.
