kev, glad to see you here.. 2 weeks ago i had to put the one cat that passed away a few years ago's sister down, her birthday was the 25th. i will never forget how thoughtful you were and how you were there for me when the other passed away. i want to say thanks for being a great guy..

Sorry to hear that, i know what you are going through. 2 of my older cats died last year as well. They both were over 18 years old, so I know they live3d full lives. We have one more who turned 18 this year, and I am not looking forward to his final day.

wow that sounds intense! What was the feedback you got from people seeing them in person? Any photos that you share?

I was pretty punchy, I had been working on the figures non-stop up to about 9 that night, then I only got about 2 hours of sleep because I had to bring all the glass cases for the Declassified booth, including a pair of Ikea cases that had to be assembled. So I was just sitting there applying decals all show half asleep.

People who like the project and the figures seemed to really enjoy seeing me sitting there making them, packing them up, and then handing them right to the promoter to give away. They asked questions about how we did this and that, how long it took, etc. A couple asked to shake my hand, one guy who won a figure asked if he could have his pic taken with me. It was pretty surreal, but it is cool when people like what we are doing.

The people who hate on the project or the figure seemed content to do it from behind a keyboard, no one said anything negative to us at the show.

I didn't take any pics, but one of the Declass guys took a couple and tweeted them. I had my heat gun with me, so as a joke, i heated up a Ross price tag on something I had for sale, peeled it off, and slapped one on a finished Salvo. I called it the "waiting for Ross" edition. I tried to get the promoter to give it away, but settled for posting a pic of it on FB and HT.

yeah, i have one left. june he will be 14, my girl would of been 16. my last one is so lost now, he was always the baby, and now he's alone and just walks around the house crying, and he's always been attatched to my hip like a dog, but now he's like really stuck on me.

Too funny! I must have missed it on HT. I was standing 10 feet from the announcement station all show (with plenty of customers to keep me busy thankfully!) but didn't luck out on anything. I got to see some damn happy people though after they won. Your work is appreciated no matter how much flak you catch.

That's not the news I wanted to hear when I said "Hi" again, man. I'm so sorry to hear that.

it's ok matt. thanks.. it does suck big time, but i guess i can say that old cliche line that others always say, that she is in a better place now. not that i really believe that, cus she was most happy with her family. i been doing good actually til now as i'm writing this.

I wanna make one of these now, awesome combo and I think I have all the body parts. I'll have to make my own vest though, with all the recent cool vests, it shouldn't be too hard.

Hey, I'm Kevin, it's my team who make the NJCC projects. I don't post here since, like Unclassified says, I'm pretty well associated on line with Hisstank, but I saw some discussion on our Salvo that I could add to without trolling, I signed up to reply.

I am glad people like the vest, I put a lot more work into it than it might look. It was a combination of bashing and some sculpting onto a Rock sized buck. We couldn't find any vest that actually fit that wave 1 Rock figure that we are using as a base (due to cost). The vest is actually molded to fit over that Rock figure, right down to an imprint of the muscles of his back in the vest. That was a result of the casting process we used. I'm not sure how well it would fit another figure.

The parts are basically the Ripcord/Skydive vest, parts from the Pitt trooper vest, assorted BBI pouches and belts, and the previously mentioned 21st century German pouches across the chest. There are currently no plans by the caster to sell it by itself, but it is always possible another caster could win one and recast it, or someone could reconstruct it.

The "Death Dealer" vest that was linked, funny thing, I made that one as well for 'Spoon to sell. I do like those loaders across the chest. That one is made to fit smaller figures, though. It was much a simpler construction, I just cut up and shortened the vest, and added the pouches. That one is, obviously, readily available.

And thanks Unclassified for the endorsement, I had not heard from you for so long, I thought maybe the Hisstank-OG13 hatred had spread to us not being cool any more either.

Hope some of this helps anyone looking for those parts.

man, i missed this post..

hey, you know how they say dont let one rotten apple spoil the barrel..
no matter any misunderstandings, circumstanses, conflicts, or situations and associations, it would never change the way i feel about you. you showed me your sincerity and how much of a great person and kind hearted that you are. that spoke volumes to me.. i will never ever lose any respect for you at all. i will always tip my hat to you and appreciate how swell of a person you are and how damn real you are. i lost your number years ago when i got a new phone, so i had no way to ever contact you.

once i got banned from the tank, i pretty much had no way to contact anyone i was friends with, unless thier number was in my new phone. my old phone lost the screen, so in order to get a screen to light up and work, i would have to open up the phone(flip phone) back and forth til the screen decided to go on, it was a hassle, so as soon as i got my new phone i never went back to the old to fiddle around with it to get all my contacts out of it.
