Picked up some Loctite Flexible adhesive today. In Hopes of Combining Red-Stars Straps with a Dragon Kraut Belt. Hopefully the end product is a nice set of Y strips with belt!

Tried the "Sponge Technique" for camo tonight.
Not bad, again I still can't post any pics but what I did was cut a piece off of a typical dish sponge with surface area of a fingernail. I held it with tweezers perpendicular to it, dipped in paint dabbed a couple times on paper towel to get off excess and then onto the surface.
I'm going for th camo look of the current Army ACU's. I only did a helmet for now after practicing on some fodder.
Working on a custom using an Our Wars vest. I mixed two solids: Deck grey and gulf tan for the base and Field Grey (which looks dark green) and Deck Grey for the green in the blend. Pretty damn close.
Not doing the whole uniform on this custom except the FOV helmet but I will do it in the future

Finally painting my "liquidators" with the Volcano Vipers. They look like it's Christmas with those damn banners on their jackets but I don't want to get rid of them. Oh well. Going to try and dremel the joints tonight. I never did that before.
I'm mainly going to just do the parts where the legs rub and then a little around the arms. Just enough to make it not rub off when used. Hopefully......
Added a Torso Joint to a Bravo Team Kraut. Wearing what looks to be a M42 tunic. The joint is Similar to What the TVC Jedi's have. It's made form a cut and sanded down Viper Lower torso. Hope to start sculpting tomorrow!

So I'm dicking around with my '80s SE repaint, silencing his Thompson and whatnot, and I'm thinking of removing his crotch straps.
Anyone done it? I hear they' under caps that just pop off, but as I have the web gear repainted and pretty I'd rather not do too much rough handling with it if it's in-depth to fix the straps. Need to get a canteen on there, too, and find that goddam 1911A1.
Oh, and any thoughts on pulling off a Mk.1 knife? I could order a 21st Para and drill a hole on SE somewhere, but I was thinking of "close enough"ing an existing accessory. Wish some one would just do a hand sculpt with one so I could just switch them out.

I got no ideas on the MkI knife. I think most just pull or cut the straps. Are you looking on making them replaceable?
I recall something like that. I'd have to dig out my SE though… he fell somewhere during the quake.
I recall a frame from one of the comics where he had an M16A1 with a suppressor and a Soviet IR scope, so I'm gonna update it with a suppressed M16A2 with the starlight scope he offers.

Speaking of RPKs…. I see the company that made my FAL also makes a semi-auto belt/ drum mag fed RPD. Almost 3k, but wouldn't that be fun?

Here is a PoC version of the VAMP II I am doing on commission.
I am trying to figure out how to make the shovel removable yet...and not sure the owner wants the 50 mounted there. I told him it interferes with the cage opening.
Also - I think the missiles will be painted flat black and the shovel and 50 the same dark gray as the rolled tubing...
What do you think?

Fiddling with a Hazard Viper. This is gonna be an exhausting project. Probably a good hour's worth of masking. Don't think I'm gonna use Krylon on him. Think I'll do the good old hard way.
Need to see if I've got a vintage back pack that suits him, too. Now just to decide on If I start him immediately or wait until I've got at least one more.
