So there's no soldier or Armos Knight for Link to beat up on? :(

Was looking into the officer custom contest... chopping up some figures when I came across this...

This was a brand new figure fresh off a card, purchased from NSA, anyone have any ideas.. possible production line check?

According to Gyre it stands for Hasbro Far East. It's either a test shot part or a quality control part that got used on a carded figure for retail. It has been known to happen.

Started fabrication on the extended wing tips for the Schleich safari plane. I've got them roughly cut out using the backing of an old laptop monitor, and I'm thinking I'll coat them in Bondo and get my airfoil through sanding. I'm not sure how I'm going to attach them, as I don't really want them to be permanent, perhaps using a pair of rods in the tip and slipping them in holes (heh heh) I'll drill in the factory wing tip.

It's mostly my reticence to have to repaint the whole plane keeping me from making them permanent mods. I'm thinking of trying to fabricate a longer engine cowling, too. One step at a time, though.

Oh, and I was fooling around with one of those McF Playmakers last night and one of the parts gave me an idea for a custom. :D

They're not awful figures. Don't exactly fit in with Joes, but enough of them and they'd be kind of humorous.

I bought a pair with the intention to do a Baseball Fury. I popped the feet off the batter as he was bought simply to provide his hands and bat to the mix, and put them on a set of Renegades Duke legs and paired that up with a Channing Tatertot head and a scale cap and it gave me an idea.

Anyone tried cracking a Retaliation Colton torso? I smashed the hell out of the W1 Rockblock due to the rubbery torso and I need the torso this time, not the arms...

I did. It's usable, but will need some repair work. I think I actually had to use a knife on it.

Anyone know if there's a 1:18 cricket bat out there?

I was thinking I'd have to DIY it. I'm getting a little more comfortable with small, simple fabrications like that, so when I've got some other stuff done I'lll give it a go.

I've decided I'm gonna do a set of snow skis for the Schleich plane. Looks like that vintage Polar Battle Bear is gonna be useful after all.

Let me know how you go about it. I still need one myself, but have put that project on the back burner...for a couple of years now.

I think a Shock Trooper stunchaku, some Miliput and a healthy amount of sanding should make a cricket bat suitable for our needs.

You'd still need some kind of clay to get the ridge on the back side.

I probably could. I'm a little unsure of balsa's long-term durability prospects. Anyway, that's a project concern for another day. I've got a plane to build!

Not me, that's for chump suckas! I'm brainstorming a figure of British origin and giving him a baseball bat would be the dumb.

You would do better with base wood for durability. Balsa is very light and soft. Base wood is a little denser. It will be right next to the balsa wood in a craft shop.

I found me a handle. I'll probably go out next weekend and see what HL has for basswood, if I don't use one of these square dowels before then.

A) spelling isn't grammar, and B) (and more importantly) it actually makes a difference if you're trying to look it up online. I'm sure you've been waiting to use that video, though, so kudos, I suppose.

I couldn't find a spelling one...I took what I could get :D
