Looking nice!!

Are you going for a specific outfit from the movies? I always loved the jump suit from Alien.

Good question. Aside from being a bit busty, the original 25th LJ torso would be a great start for flight suit Ripley.

I'm always down for a bigger topped female Id address the narrow ass issue with that torso before giving her bigger chest. Sigourney doesn't have a huge rack, but she does have a nice pooper.

This figure (RoC Covergirl) is the only one that I could find that was close to any of the outfits seen in the movie Aliens...that being the light blue jump suit Ripley wears through much of the movie. I would like to do several versions of her, one with her bomber jacket, one with her wearing a t-shirt, but finding torsos that match those are not available (I think).

I had plans to do a flight suit version of her from Alien like you guys are talking about, and I have that Lady J figure...but if I recall she has some sort of harness molded onto her body which would be a PITA to remove..

Truth on the harness, only real issue I have with that torso. T-shirt look shouldn't be hard, one of the cast0rs has one that should work. Hell, you may even be able to do camisole and panties Ripley.

Hasbro hasn't done anything even close to a G-4B g-suit. The best they've got is that U2 pressure suit. They really should do a flight suit buck that doesn't suck, but I suppose that's too much to ask given what they're releasing for the 50th pt. 2.

the blue scarlett figure has some zippered pockets kinda like those..could sand off or fill&sand the line?

there's a guy on HT that cut the bottoms off pilot Scarlett's legs, and attached them to the tops of the blue Scarlett's lowers, looked really neat...

I've been meaning to steel that leg idea for some time. Just haven't got my hands on a pilot scarlett yet..I have molds of all the other parts tho.

Did something similar to that for my female helo pilot using Renegades Scarlett legs. I didn't do that cut 'n paste bullshit, though. Eddie used the idea as well on his Velma Dinkley.

Two good things came from that Scarlett: Those lower legs and the female flight vest.

To my knowledge, I'm the only one that has ever voiced any interest in accurate flight suits, male or female. I've got lots of helicopter seats to fill.

I'm just trying to find a unique design to start with. Something where I can't get undercut and somehow make just my investment back.

I've thought of that, but I'd have to buy most of the parts from a castor and it wouldn't be cheap....not that my version has been cheap.

25th Ace in flight suit or use one of these for a good start.

25th flight suit Ace has come to mind, but he's broad chested which would make a female alteration difficult to pull off. And that astronaut wouldn't work, I have one, it's not very good in my opinion.

Yes, I'd like to do that version, but I'm doing the one from Aliens (the second movie) :)

I'm aware of the lower legs on blue pilot Scarlett...but what are the upper legs you are all referring to? I thought blue Scarlet and pilot Scarlet were the same thing?

The "camisole and panties" comes from a torso combination I came up with fiddling with parts.

Give that that head, bare arms&legs, and you have her coming out of stasis outfit.

Why wouldn't it be cheap? if i wasn't me,and was working on a female figure,I'd be the first one that Id hit up for parts! lol. I have head to toe molds of pretty much every Joe female, and I like to believe I'm pretty reasonable. I'm really not in the business of selling parts, but I'd take care of you man:p

What Giga said, the roc blue camo scarlett. Those are what those cast legs are from as well...

I have everything molded off her except her arms, but I do have them in my to be cast area...just never needed them for anything yet.

You've got me thinking of using those Scarlett thighs, Contraband. I test fit with the ones off of mine and there will need to be some modification done to make them kosher with the Renegades Scarlett knees ( and that hole in the right one needs a-fillin'), but I think they'll work out.

Do you mean for your pilot? I have the complete legs molded off that Scarlett including knees...I have the cover girl complete legs as well. I have both torsos as too!

One strange thing about cast upper legs is on a metal T-bar they're loose like a worn out figure..even if you try to pack shit where those little rubber stoppers go. Idk if it's the casts arent "springy" plastic there, and don't grip? Or what? but if I use a plastic cast t-bar they're tight! or a drop of super glue to each ball socket to coat it first, let it dry they're fine, but metal on those sockets just doesn't work...I use plastic t bars now,so it's not an issue, but it's worth noting.

Yeah, for the pilot. I started base-coating portions of her, and I'll probably hit the heads with a Dremel to get them fit on the torso soon. Still ain't gots no arms, though! Blue RoC Scarlett would have been much more useful if she didn't have the fashion belt on her torso. :wtf:

I've come across factory figures with loose hips and there are a number of methods to remedy it, so it's not an issue unless you're a whiny bitch. Yes, they do exist.

It's just something I noticed, and I like to put all the info out there..me,I try to stick to 100% cast figures. I consider it a challenge to make every part of my figures. You've seen the example bashed ladyjaye I've use to demonstrate gear&weapons in pics

,..finally I said fuck it,and copied the upper torso,so I can run her in all black. I had molds for the entire figure except that..why not just make one,so I can put Zanya&lady Jaye on eBay?

Yeah, the same guy that chopped those pilot scarlett legs has done a few cops using that torso..idk what I'm going to do yet. I know I'll try the splice with those lower legs,as well as at least that upper torso. I'm fixin to do a SW figure for someone else,so I felt this one would be good to have just to get familiar with starwars figure construction..although I'm sure it isn't consistant along the line. The neck will need fixed on this figure that's for sure.

Speaking of necks,I made a new chest piece for the resolute scarlett torso with a lady Jaye neck on it..I just filled those molds,so I'll have that to post soon...nice catch on the giraffe neck on that one btw! It'll be killer buck now! already getting impatient,I wanna paint that silver cobra insignia on the chest I do to all my figures so bad:D

The "Green" Team, as I call them. At this point there should be at least 3 more figures here. Obviously plans aren't working out.

I'm gonna paint up the rotor system this weekend, whether the stabilizer bar weights are on or not. Drilled the holes for the brace bars, and I've set myself to redoing the FM "cat whiskers" on the nose. I need to sting the boom antenna (third time, I think?) as well. I wanted to do other things (sagamis, anti-Strella kit, TOW sight), but I just don't have the skillz, so I'm gonna wrap this one up.

Crew is anyone's guess. Wild Bill is naturally gonna be the pilot but, as ever, parts are the issue.

Your not helping K! You know I want a heli now! I should've jumped on one of those biglots copters, now I regret not getting one.

I cast some marvel lower legs some time ago,and started shaping them yesterday...I got the stance/foot angle I wanted last night after this pic..,trimmed the bottom cupped holes off of some scarlett lower casts&glued those on, blended those already too,so the ankles are now "frenched" into the lower legs, and the correct hole is there so the feet snap in tight..theres just a tad more wet sanding, then I'll coat them with gloss black, and inspect them for imperfections...if they're good,I'll recast the entire set of legs with those feet on the parts tree just like I did with hands when I made the bare arms,so dennis can offer them as a set...

It kills me to put marvel parts on a Joe,..but the poses you can get whoop normal Joe legs..

Helos aren't hard to find, you just have to live with the price. Late August/early September will have Big Lots stores full of PTE again, and at the very least you'll have another shot at the Z-9.

I love blending JOE and MU/MI figs. You get the best articulation and often some great "bare" parts that are extremely difficult to come by in the JOE lines.

The transition is a pain!! it's all hasbro, but they make everything different? lol. The feet are SW repegged for joes. I STILL gotta totally remake those hip pieces.

I like that!

^
Thanks! It's in its early stages. I have a lot more sanding&smoothing to do still, then I gotta tackle the upper socket pieces..fill them out a little so they fill out the hip sockets better and over all mesh with the Joe torso..here they are with the Ankle holes attached to the lowers.

I gotta make molds of those upper hip pieces next to modify...,but I dont have the torso from dennis yet that I'm supposed to make these match...so can't do anything beyond finishing up the lowers.

I've never seen any helicopter but the camo one..never got a shot at any Blackhawk except the coastguard one at TRU. Then the reviews here say get the BBi version, lol. I don't want a stubby or shrunken bird.

If you want a proper 1:18 helicopter eBay will be the best place. PTE's AH-6 is close enough for government work.

Okay, fellas, what are my 1:18 Joker head sculpt options, more to the point what will work with the Black Mask buck? I'm not sure what style of Joker I'm going for. Something dark, I think.

I see that Angel Forge has a Vincent Price head and I'm thinking a Cesar Romero-style make up job on that might be cool.
