I had plans to do a flight suit version of her from Alien like you guys are talking about, and I have that Lady J figure...but if I recall she has some sort of harness molded onto her body which would be a PITA to remove..
This figure (RoC Covergirl) is the only one that I could find that was close to any of the outfits seen in the movie Aliens...that being the light blue jump suit Ripley wears through much of the movie. I would like to do several versions of her, one with her bomber jacket, one with her wearing a t-shirt, but finding torsos that match those are not available (I think).

Truth on the harness, only real issue I have with that torso. T-shirt look shouldn't be hard, one of the cast0rs has one that should work. Hell, you may even be able to do camisole and panties Ripley.
25th Ace in flight suit or use one of these for a good start.
This?
the blue scarlett figure has some zippered pockets kinda like those..could sand off or fill&sand the line?
there's a guy on HT that cut the bottoms off pilot Scarlett's legs, and attached them to the tops of the blue Scarlett's lowers, looked really neat...
I've been meaning to steel that leg idea for some time. Just haven't got my hands on a pilot scarlett yet..I have molds of all the other parts tho.

I've thought of that, but I'd have to buy most of the parts from a castor and it wouldn't be cheap....not that my version has been cheap.
Yes, I'd like to do that version, but I'm doing the one from Aliens (the second movie)
I'm aware of the lower legs on blue pilot Scarlett...but what are the upper legs you are all referring to? I thought blue Scarlet and pilot Scarlet were the same thing?
Yeah, for the pilot. I started base-coating portions of her, and I'll probably hit the heads with a Dremel to get them fit on the torso soon. Still ain't gots no arms, though! Blue RoC Scarlett would have been much more useful if she didn't have the fashion belt on her torso.
I've come across factory figures with loose hips and there are a number of methods to remedy it, so it's not an issue unless you're a whiny bitch. Yes, they do exist.

Your not helping K! You know I want a heli now! I should've jumped on one of those biglots copters, now I regret not getting one.
I like that!
Helos aren't hard to find, you just have to live with the price. Late August/early September will have Big Lots stores full of PTE again, and at the very least you'll have another shot at the Z-9.
I see that Angel Forge has a Vincent Price head and I'm thinking a Cesar Romero-style make up job on that might be cool.
