Yeah, I could echo Recoil, Bullhorn, and a decent Serpentor head. I was okay enough with the DVD Serpentor, but if you guys could sculpt a better head with perhaps the arm gear as a glue-on element, that'd be sweet to somewhat "fix" the Hasbro "3-times and you're out" failed attempt...

I edited my OG post, but I meant a full figure kit. Not just the head.

I wouldn't support any Serpentor, simply because i haven't figured out what i want him to look like. The snake armor faggery has to go.

Might be able to do something with a figure based on early, pre-armor Serpentor.

Yeah, but that doesn't work for me. It's the same problem i have with CC always looking like a schmuck.

I'll wait for him to around, I'm not signing up for no more forums. :D

It doesn't do anything for the leg issue, but something will turn up.

A neck joint for arah figures with a ball joint that fits modern figures. Classic figure that can use a newer head

I was just sorting through my Joes to pick out some for a dio, and I really, really hate Tripwire. What a boring figure!

What about a modern EOD specialist? Whatever SDS's take on that would be. Maybe a modernized head that's reminiscent of Tripwire's classic helmet, but the rest is all modern?

That'd be a cool CAM kit, or even a torso and head combo. Maybe a helmeted head, with a flip-up separate piece? I don't recall seeing anything like that from SDS so far, and think it'd be a cool take on our original Joe EOD guy.

I'm thinking the Hazard/Volcano Viper as a base. Need a new head, and you'd need to be able to get a Pit Commando flak vest on it, but it's a start.

Hmm, probably a good start. It'd be great if Hasbro would just release the Hazard Viper in a khaki or green, but that's highly unlikely. I bet you could dye that silly arctic Shipwreck legs, or dye an Ice-Viper...

http://www.yojoe.com/action/10/shipwreck15.shtml

That'd give you enough leg bulk, and I agree the Pit trooper vest would be pretty good for the torso...

I agree that Tripwire's design is dated and a bit goofy, but a modern EOD specialist looks like a reject from M.A.S.K. ... so I'm not sure it would be a highly sought-after design. Maybe something with a futuristic look might work better.

Yeah, that's why I said let SDS do their take on it... It'd need to be slimmed down a little I think, or have some cool padding and "teched-up" a bit... I may try to work on one myself and see what I can come up with, but it'll be cobbled together from parts, not exactly having an original sculpt. But it may jot require SDS to waste their time on it, aside from a head with a flip-down visor of sorts.

I'm gonna be spraying Hazard Vipers OD anyhow.

Christ, i wish Hasbro was using hard plastic still.

Yeah, I only spray the torsos and upper legs. Actually, my one experience with it turned me off it altogether, so I avoid spray-paint if at all possible on Joe figures. But now I know what will work and what won't. I had a gummy mess that I ended up just throwing away, even after trying to clean it with thinner.

I knew everything but the thighs and torso was gonna be tacky for the duration, but the clean factory look and not having to paint by hand make the trade off one i can live with.

The soft plastic parts aren't gooey, just a bit tacky.

unmasked super hero/villain heads

Hasbro is taking their sweet time making the alter egos.
So far we've got or going to get Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, & Norman Osborne.
I would like to make a Clark Kent too.

Ya know, i wouldn't mind a '30s-'40s-'50s pomade-addict Clark head sculpt.

That might come in handy for loads of things.
