Oh that's f#@*ing Texas summer hawt...freaking sexy!...I'm so stealing that...now all I need is the Destro figure and the cap...interested to see what an overcoat would look like, even over the bulky torso...

Think what I'm gonna do is paint the jacket like it was one of the U-boat crew jacket.

And I'm vexed to learn that all my WWII German holsters are for P38s!

I'd like to see some experimenting with the lighting in your photos. On the other hand that may be difficult due to what matirals your using as a backdrop, because those things like to reflect light alot.

I thought I was experimenting.... Here's the scoop, the pic you commented on was with the ceiling light in my usual dio spot. I do try to avoid using it but now and again its like what the hell. My best results have come just using natural light (the sun, and I know some don't believe me) at different times of day. My night shots use 1 or 2 LED flashlights.

Now about the backgrounds, the first few I made (for SW stuff actually) were laminated or on photo paper which is a mistake. They reflect light all over and it ruins the illusion. What I do and I swear this works, is make printouts on regular paper and that way there is no gloss and no reflected light.

Feel free to PM me lancelot I'd love to hear your ideas.

Never underestimate sunlight as a tool.

As for the LCDs, the mutiple small bulb type or the proper size (think the bulb in a Maglite)ones ? I get pretty good results with the small/multibulb ones, granted the batteries are good.

Makes perfect sense.

I do use the multibulb ones, some are better than others. Are you and I agreeing on something? As for the other thing (backgrounds) its against the norm you'd usually want gloss but not if its a background. Its a f'n nightmare to try to shoot that stuff, good for display though.

Here's a couple different angles from my banner entry...

Of course SS had to dress as some kinda ninja

The twins are still twins

Zartan poking the bear...Mindbender just LOVES to be shirtless

The Commander would NOT be shown up by Destro!

That's fucking awesome, Eddie.

This^^

Great Stuff!

cobra Halloween party? nice

wow Eddie, those close ups are fantastic. Love the Crimson twins shot.

Thanks guys...did you spot the camera Chewie is holding?

I had a lot of fun trying to figure out who to put in what "costume"...as simple as it was, my fave was Zartan being a d!ck...

And I wanted to make Baroness be Catwoman, but she blended into the background too much...

Did you enter this months contest?...being a low light master, you should've...

Nah, I did that yesterday after I reassembled my CC. You know damn well the concept of shooting these and cropping these things is lost on me.

It almost makes me wish there was a chrome version of the Renegades mask, even with my anti-chromedome stance.

I was sure that moonlight picture was yours in the contest. It looked like something you would have done IMO. Who did do the moonlight one?

Thematically, sure, but it's a little too dark for something I would have submitted.

There's the problem with down-low banner submissions, now you have to wait for the owner to speak up.

yeah the cropping part gets me too...and I agree about the Renegades CC head...it's the best CC head out there and NEEDS to be made in chrome...

I'm quite certain it's MBs...I recall him doing some pretty good moonlight ones months ago...
