Wonder how many of that sh!tty Jinx are on eBay?...

I have been more and more inclined to try and get all 3 of the recently released Jinx figures and I am not sure why. I never owned a Jinx figure before and it just pains me to think about paying so much per figure...but lately I have been thinking all 3 are pretty cool, in their own individual way.

I'll likely unload my 2nd Jinx for cost + shipping... Wait till I have it in hand, I don't want to jinx myself if for some reason there's a screwup in shipping.

I only want one full set to keep carded, but I'm probably going to be selling off at least half of my "opener" set. Only guaranteed keepers so far are CG, Dice, Big Boa and Topside.

Jesse used to have a white jinx he was looking to get rid of...might want to ask about it...

Those are the only ones I wanted too...

These weren't really the ones I was looking forward too. Dice just fills a tiny roster spot on Cobra. Jinx is sold. I do like having more shurikens, unlike some people I don't loose these little things. :D
The Club's insistence on making everything boxed or carded is stupid. I'm sure they could have been made for less loose. I'm pretty sure though that the Club would just pocket any savings anyway. :talktothehand:

Half of my set is going to Fogger and most of the rest I will prolly sling or trade. I've started to look them over and I will say that the card's look pretty damn good. The exclusive logo is nice. Not sure why so much hate was coming out over the first looks at the cards.

I guess..... When I think of card art that looks like ass... I think of the RoC cards and retaliation cards. The 2 that I have in my hand... look pretty damn good imo.

Well Dice was a Photoshopped rework of the vintage card art. So no big surprises there.

That Jinx art's almost as bad as the figure to me. I can't stand her, and she's completely unnecessary to me, now that we got 2 much better Jinxes with proper-sized heads at SDCC. I'm extra critical because I feel like I could probably do better given time and a budget. Jinx looks too photo-real, which doesn't match the 25th art style. It's almost a POC/Retaliation-level realistically styled face.

It's more the face on the cardback (the dossier file card) than the actual front, which does look better with the mask on. So maybe I'm being too critical, I dunno. Some of the other art looks MUCH worse than these two, though. CG's is really bad if you ask me.

I see your points. Not really looking at many of the online photos of the cards before having them in hand.... I'm very pleased with them in hand right now. I like how the cards are labeled on the back as "01-01" and "01-02". Makes me want to have a whole set of carded figs. Oh well.

I'm not missing these at all. I'm a ninja guy but the only figure from the FSS I was remotely interested in was Big Boa. He looked great and came with some awesome accessories. I wasn't about to shell out $50 or get the FSS just for him. Jinx does nothing for me (SDCC Jinx is loads nicer). Dice is ok, but I could easily make a better one that would really be to my liking. I could care less about the cards.

I completely disagree. The only reason I'm interested in any of these if to put with my MOC collection. The card art, while far from inspiring, isn't any worse than half the 25th cards. I can't imagine paying club prices (or even a reduced rate) for any of them if they weren't carded.

I really think they should offer both carded and bagged sets...I think they'd sell tons more sets...the cost is so prohibitive for one carded set that some won't buy any at all...but if they offered both carded/bagged, the MOC guys could be happy (and maybe even buy a second cheaper bagged set to open) and the guys that won't buy any at all might be more inclined to buy a cheaper bagged set...

I could go for the bagged/carded sets like they do with the "free" membership figures like Footloose, Dial-Tone and Iceberg (speaking of, when the fuck are we going to see an Iceberg prototype?). $15 for the loose, $20-25 for carded or something like that. I agree that without being carded, I wouldn't get but probably 4-6 of them, and only one set.

I guess they may have done some sort of formula to figure it out, but I bet for the folks that would buy less (for example, I bought 2 full carded sets as they exist, but would only buy a full carded set and half loose if they offered it that way) there's folks that would "cherry-pick" the loose ones to fill in the gaps. It may be less legwork/paperwork/shipping just doing "whole hog" sets, though. Who knows, they may actually put that much thought into it.

Well I was suggesting that bagged sets would be full sets...but they'd be cheaper for obvious reasons...being able to cherry pick would not be in the clubs best interest at all and I'd NEVER see them doing that...

I'm kinda hoping the sub service does really poorly and they don't do it again...if it succeeds, the likely outcome would be that they start only offering the figs I want in the $$$$ subscription...and I will NOT buy into something where I only want 1/4 - 1/3 of the figures...

Monkeywrench and I worked it out - as I recall, the only figure we both wanted was Cover Girl. You might be surprised what you can work out.

You can do what me and Fogger did. We compromised. We each got a split of the good figures and got a want or 2 of the non-good ones. The rest we evenly split up and most likely will sell off to try and reap some $ to buy the other good ones that we missed.

What was the cost on her? I was looking at the figure and I saw some custom fodder possibilities but I'm not going to pay a ton for a fodder figure lol LMK

Hell if I know, haha. If you're opening it for custom fodder, I'll check both sets and send you the card that's less pristine. I don't recall the per-figure breakdown or even the overall price, but I'll unload it for whatever the individual figure cost is. I'll PM you when I get back home, or shoot me a PM in a week or so as a reminder in case I forget.

Price...

$24.50/figure if you don't include the 13th. $22.60 if you include the 13th since you are basically paying for it. That's not including shipping of course. Figure on at least $11 for that. Almost puts it to $30/figure. That's more than an SDCC exclusive. It says you can order as many as you like too.

Hey ladies (nacho, fogger) who were dumb enough to go in for this set...

Did yours all arrive yet?

I returned home from my 2 weeks away to bupkiss on my door step, but my mail was nicely crammed in my mailbox. No orange slips or anything, and I'm pretty sure I selected USPS Priority if they mailed them off by December 22, so it should've made it here by now. In classic Club fashion, this is what I get... Two sets, too.

MW and I split an order and he placed it - he said he got them, so yes.

Ugh, what I figured. They said in their email from the 22nd of December to wait till Jan 10 but I'm thinking I should go ahead and shoot them an email. A priority package should've arrived by now. Could be the PO lost it in my mail hold (they are dumb as fuck here) but I doubt it. Sigh.

Take that back, bitch! I didn't fall for that FunPub scamfoolery. I ordered the four I wanted from BBTS. No way I was shelling out real money for figures like Slice, Topside, and Veggie BAT.... And I sure as f#$% wasn't giving them any more credit card numbers after they burned me twice...

Look elsewhere for your dumb ladies (like fogger)!

Hey! You want that Dice or not, beggar?
I actually put in preorders for the 4 I wanted on BBTS and after they raised their prices, kept them in my POL out of spite. I'd rather get them to someone else down the road versus them make an extra $20 by me releasing them back to their new revised-pricing stock.

hahaha. You guys! Mine(and Foggers) arrived pretty early on and in decent condition!

Fuckers! I was really looking forward to that on my return home after being away for 2 weeks. Instead, I get home to wadded up mail in my mailbox and a 50º apartment from our heat dying the day before we left town.

What? Two of the figures I wanted were listed at $24.99. I'm paying less than the subscription price+shipping. I'm only getting gouged on two figures, and I snagged those before BBTS jacked the prices up further.

I'll be paying $150 for the four figures I actually want, and I don't have to figure out how to dump the rest. Sounds like a win to me....

Enjoy paying $33 each for Funpub to send you "Sure Fire" and "Iron Claw"! hahahahahahahahahahahaha...... scamfoolery indeed!

Aww, c'mon, ya gotta admit BBTS is just as bad as the club, you just get the opportunity to only get f*@#ed on the figures you want...

Here, you wanna know how bad BBTS is screwing people?...add up their costs (even before the super-f*@#ing price hikes) for each of the 12-13 figures...bet it's way more than the clubs sub fee...

I'm by far not defending the club (or any other service that forces sh!t figures to get the good ones) but BBTS is the worst...and people defend that place left and right...
