I agree 100%. The ST torso is still hampered by the shoulder joint. I may to remove some in order to get better range out of the arms. I"m hoping to get some work done on him tonight.

Damn, I hate when I forget to quote someone else...

ST torsos -

What I do usually, is dremel the sides of the pecs down a bit, and "recurve" it for more range. Once a vest is on, you don't see it. You can also trim down the inside of the tricep a little, since the bulkiness of it is what touches the pec first anyway.

obi you should do a tutorial with those small modifications in elbows and shoulder... one of my biggest trouble is precisely the gun grab in a shooting position...

This is what I do too...it works very well and isn't as noticeable

I also have some elbow tips you may not have seen or heard of, other than trimming around the bicep end.
All in good time.

I usually trim out the pit as well as the tricep. It works until we get a figure with a working collar joint.

Aside from some paint work I think everything on this custom gun is done. I want to do a second style of feed box, but I reckon that can wait 'til later.
It was a lot of work, but it's worth it not to have the same gun on a custom that everyone else does.

Next step: Machete!

Nice and detailed. Looks really wide though, not sure if the bottom jaw is doing that though, either way, I can't wait to see that one painted up. You doing a whole fig, or just the mask/helmet for someone?

Nah... just skull face armor. Once set, I'll be trimming it down here and there to streamline it a bit.

Yes, it is a little wide because of the supplied base mask. That will change though.

Of course, this got me thinking...

I should sculpt a 3D skull mask straight onto a masked head, with a helmet. Then the whole thing could be cast as a solid piece, perhaps.

looks like the scarf makes the neck sit oo high, but honestly its only noticeable if you really look close, it blends well. too bulky? nah, I like it. Whats the vest from?

Vest is an Obi mod cast by Jesse.

The head and body combo fit perfect, so the scarf makes it look weird to me...but not too weird. I have a pic of just the head and body...hold on.

Slay, that guy looks good, though I'd paint the collar to match the shirt

Thanks - that was a last minute add and why it is almost finished...it needs to match better...maybe even heat it up and form it to the torso better...

just didn't want to paint the neck in case I decide to put Flint's head back on. :D

Thanks. Need to dull it up a bit still. The helmet isn't secured yet, so it looks wide. I'm going to remove the pouch from the belt too. It doesn't let the vest sit well.

Dre...

Dremel the inside of the headphones a bit, and it will sit much better. Something I didn't do on the master copy because I used a slightly smaller head when modding it.

AND... if you dremel down the pecs and back(at the sides)a tad, the vest will fit and close better too. I made that thing to fit fairly snug on that torso, but it's too tight really.

I shall do that.

The last one I used I glued it down to the Beachhead head I used. Once I Dremel it here I will probably do the same, along with the vest too.

White or olive-drab?

I'm leaning towards white, just to break up all the drab on the helicopter itself.

The only thing those two Cobras have in common other than their Cobraness is those gun pods. ;)

Really?

When he said "white", the only thing that truly looked white to me were the helmets (other than the guys!).

Oh well... another fine example of "specify what the hell you're talking about, because not everyone can read your mind". :D

That you guys even noticed the helmets says something, though I'm not sure of what.

I figured fogger would have clued in, considering he knew what I was gonna do with that Skystriker pod.
