OMG! That was the one toy I wanted as a kid... a Godzilla and ironically that very one. I never got it. Unlike your son I wanted Godzilla to protect me (from my father) so he never would have been in the closet! :)

not yet. but its still in the works! Building a new house so as soon as I finish up the basement I'll have some room to work with. :) The little trains, airport and I'll probably burn up the 3d printer I ordered making a shit ton of 1:500 cars, trucks and such for G to stomp his way through

Its all coming! :)

From your father? Did he resemble Mothra?!

My grandparents bought that Godzilla for me when I was about four. They got it in Hawaii and brought it back to TN. We were talking about it the other night, and I had forgotten where I got it. They told me all about buying it on their trip. I'm not sure what possessed them, as I was not a Godzilla fanatic at that age (but I did like the short-lived Hanna Barbera cartoon in '78).

I'll never forget carrying that thing to school for show-and-tell in the 1st grade when we studied dinosaurs. It was as big as I was. Why my mother let me do that is still a mystery.

of course I never got one as a kid, just had my imagination and a picture of him I found in a magazine. Funny thing that Godzilla you have I saw for the first time in a doctors office toy box... that I was in from a broken arm from him! Oh well, that was a long time ago. Lol, but now I'm making up for lost time as my fondness burns ever brighter! These new figures are everything I wanted as a kid.

Taking some pics of the collection and figured I might as well post some for scale, and if you want to bitch about how much your Joes or MOTU figures are, that Godzilla runs at about $65!. King Ghidorah (Gold 3 headed) is an average of $125!

Ha! Heavy metal is right, and to be literal these cost too much damn heavy metal. The new Destroyah figure weighs it at $135!

I think I might just have to get Kong, not a fan but damn it if that sculpt doesn't look amazing

as for Kiryu, he comes out in September and this is one figure I was secrectly hoping for!

Well it has begun. I finally ordered my t-gauge train.





I've been working with the AnyRail train layout program and I think I've finally got the setup I want. Going to have a coast where some battleships and a carrier will be "floating", the train tracks will cover the entire area crossing through a small section of a city and passing by an airport as well. Can't wait to get started and I know I'll have the first train set in a tri state area with Godzilla as my centerpiece.

I found some 1:500 scale f-22 Raptors that I'm going to put on the deck of the 1:500 Nimitz carrier (yeah not accurate I know but just for looks) that will look really sweet in a dio with Godzilla in an ocean scene. I plan on G tearing apart an Akula submarine with the U.S. carrier and destroyer escort approaching... should look pretty sweet if I can get the damn water to turn out

I'm on a Godzilla high so why not share a scale photo



Looking at how small the American "Godzilla" is in comparison is just sad... but look at how big king kong is! Tiny!

Stay Puff is a great addition :)
