The old Fisher Price adventure people line from the late 70's early 80's has some good civilians, if you don't mind the 5poa.

I've seen this figure before, in a set that now costs $50+. I saw him again yesterday in one of those new Animal Planet sets for $10!

If this doesn't look like director Peter Jackson before he lost all that weight, I don't know what does.

Best of all, the set he comes with also has a movie camera with tripod! The figure I saw looked pretty much the same except I think his vest was a different color and there was no print on his shirt.

Put a beer in one hand and a metal detector in the other and he'd look like a beach comber!

Michael Moore! This calls for a dio of him getting his cap peeled by a negligent Cobra trooper.

SITREP on the figure behind him?

Crafts 2000 has 3.75 civilians and public safety (police officer and fireman) but they have no articulation. I use them as background fillers. They even have a Airline Pilot in uniform and a mail carrier. When my kids set up their Joe city in the living room they use them for people standing around. They work pretty good for that. I want to get some of the police figures and paint them as uniform secret service officers.

That's a great freaking vest on that fig Drop!...what store did you pick him up in?

It is in a TRU Animal Planet Set...has a 4 wheeler and a baby rhino or elephant. I got that set for my nephew for his birthday a month or so ago...has a video camera on a tripod and a telephoto camera too...maybe a lantern??? Cannot recall. I have a beard and wear a floppy hat frequently...so he said the figure is Uncle Matt...guess I better slim down some more.:(

I have been forgetting to look at the animal planet stuff at TRU. I guess I know what I will be looking for today. I could use that guy and cam on tri pod for a few pics I need to take.

Lotta useful stuff there...the tripod seems a tad too big, but the camera could work for Hollywood type stuff...

Of course this plays right into the thread about buying stuff I don't need...but I gots ta have it!!

I have casts available if that helps??

(yes, the irony of her casting color is not lost on me)

I don't care about the hairy fat guy, but someone needs to cast that camera...

I have it... somewhere. I know I bought that set years ago, just for the camera. But that was before I was doing anything useful with my life, like casting...

You know what, I have that head and I bought it from you...

The damn lens is a little too big on that camera otherwise it looks ok , but if anyone needs a movie camera, I have the one from the DVD pack I could send off to be cast if Geek doesn't have it.

I didn't find that camera, have to do more looking... but I found this one. Not sure where it came from but it's a bit smaller and more realistic IMO

There's a pretty good LEGO minifig camera which would work perfectly for 1:18th.

Speaking of the Popco Harry Potter figs, I found a Chinese eBay seller with these:

Luna Lovegood: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Harry-Potter-3-75-action-figure-loose-Luna-/350816494420?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item51ae4ae354

Ginny Weasley: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Harry-Potter-3-75-action-figure-loose-Ginny-Weasley-/380651086742?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item58a092a396

I ordered a few of each for fodder. I've seen headswaps on Joe bodies before, so they'd make good female additions to the team. :)

They arrived yesterday, and as I suspected they appear to be factory rejects with crappy or nonexistent face paint. Explains why they were so cheap. Still, it's nothing I can't fix with a little repainting of my own.

Carl Grimes from the new TV Walking Dead series works perfect for a good civilian figure. I'll post pics when I get home.
