I hoarded the shit out of those 30th blueshirts... But I was only able to get about 10? I plan to get rid of all my 25th blueshirts, because they look absolutely awful now next to the 30th ones.

I thought you said nobody hoards anything on here? LOL :)

Those Ebay listings for ultimate figures are ridiculous, most are preorders! WTF

I think I'm at 5 Dukes. I'll get more, but that's my preorders now.

I can't even remember how many Shocktroopers I had in the end.

Generally nobody, the members here are 95% into modern figures, not ARAH GI Joe updates. I'm an ARAH F.A.G., see the icon?

My rule for troop builders is usually 3-5. No real reason for it, other than I had plans at one time to shoot dios with them.

"Specialty" Cobra troopers that I have low sentimental connection to, I cap at 3, like Data-Viper or Jungle-Viper. Most other Cobra troopers (the only Joe troop-builder I bought more than 1-2 of was the Steel Brigade figure) I cap at 5, if I had some sentimental connection to them.

Now, if I had a HUGE sentimental connection to then, I'd say I'm in the 10-20 range, sadly. But the only ones I think I have that many of, I found in either bulk discount (clearance stores) or wanted them badly enough to pay retail for them. I have a bunch of B.A.T.s, 30th Vipers, 25th Vipers, 30th Blueshirts, and 25th Blueshirts, and I think maybe a good deal of IGs due to the IG/Viper 2-packs I found on clearance, and Crimson Guards due to the TRU 5-packs that I found on clearance. The only non-ARAH trooper I bought a bunch of were Shock-Troopers and Zombie-Vipers, because the STs are fucking awesome urban combat guys and the ZVs I got custom heads for, so I could make them all unique.

I don't think anyone here would hoard 20-30 of anything...would they?

ummm....Tommy and I went thru our bin of Cobras and made a list of all of them and how many we had. The highest numbers were:

B.A.T.S = 40 (family dollar and Ollies DOCI sets helped those numbers)
Resolute Blue Shirts= 24 (family dollar)
Shock Troopers = 24 (Ef it, I paid full price at retail. I am a former SWAT member and got addicted to the Shock Troopers. I did get 10 for 1.99 each at Krogers when they clearanced them.
Alley Vipers= 12 (DOCI at Ollies)

its not as bad as it sounds, just wanted to try troop building to see if it fit. Now I keep my numbers small, from 3 to 6.

I never took everyone I saw at once, I always leave a couple for the next guy. My area isn't saturated with scalpers so I get lucky with finding stuff (when it finally gets here).

eeeeefffff you at a 1.99...I have 20 each of the 30th Viper, Blueshirts, Zombies, Shock Troopers, and Renegades Troopers and about that many Retaliation Red Ninjas.

Most of the others I'm at 10-15 - Bats, PoC AVs, etc.

I walked into the Steubenville Krogers (they have a huge toy section) and didn't see any joes on the pegs. At the end of the bread aisle I saw clearance stuff and there they were, ShockTroopers (10), the renegade cobra security (3) and the other renegade crew CC, Scarlett, and several Jungle Vipers for 1.99. I nearly pissed when I saw the price tags.

That's got to be one of the best hauls in the history of collecting. Looking for just one shock trooper but they are hella expensive at escams.

Not that many, I think 8? They were snatched up pretty fast around here, same with the ZVs, so I didn't get as many as I would've wasted money on. Probably a good thing, to be honest.

Im sorta doing that with the ultimate Duke figs. I have enough for a 6 man team gonna switch out the heads.

Army building seems expensive as hell, where do you get these ungodly deals from to buy them in bulk?

Wait, when did Family Dollar have BATs?...like 25th BATs?
I never found any at FD. But TJ Maxx and Marshalls had the B.A.T. wave on clearance for $3 or $4 each. I picked up a good half dozen that way, at least.

Ross, TJ Maxx, Rite-Aid. The best deals I found were the multi-packs when they were clearanced. I got the DOCI sets, Extreme Conditions sets, and CG 5-packs all for like $12 each.

Hell, I even picked up that Alpine DVD pack at Marshall's for like $12-15 or something. ;)

I think the figure I got the most of must of been the PIT Command from the RoC line, maybe ended up with close to 20, but all for custom parts.

Otherwise I tend to stick to a few of this and a few of that. The new ultimate Duke seems like it'll be super useful so I preordered 10.. when my BBTS shipment comes in I'll see if I need any more than that.

I think I had around 13 Shock Troopers at one point.

In general I find section/fireteam numbers to be about the high end of what's sensible. Really cool figures are fine up to squad level, but those guys going platoon, company or higher(!), and who don't have a massive dio set up to showcase those numbers, are loons.

I'm leaving for Florida on Saturday. If there isn't an update by then...I'll just let it be until I get back.

Kokomo says it's processing, but it could have been processing for a month as I never logged in to see after placing my initial pre-order. Still nothing from Dorkside either...
