By the gods, someone give Obi the backing of a billionaire who loves toys and fund his own actionfigure line.

If I did not like Obi so much these changes would not be seen until the series 2 figure. :p

Hopefully, I can have the fist test copy of the new arms out to him after next weekend.

LoL - ACR. I've said it before... my version was cobbled together to get something close to it, but really, MJ's will be much more accurate. As long as the scale is good, we should be fine with it.

Arms - Again, I was never 100% happy with those, but they would work overall. I was waiting on some figs/parts to become available, and I just got them in the mail last Friday. I called DW and pleaded with him to possibly switch them out, and as luck (and timing) would have it... he was ok with doing it.

You are WAY too kind, but I do appreciate it.

And like I don't want one of your MRAP's for my guys to ride around in? :proposetoast:

I really hope you guys come out with the "lazy ass" edition that's already painted with cool camo. For all the lazy asses like me I'm speaking for all of us.

We'll see what happens within a decent timeframe for painting any of these. Right now, it's looking like these will come unpainted... at least by Con time.

well a huge car repair bill killed the con and Joe con next year but I am putting enough aside for this. I promised my boys one of these and I am going to keep this one.

So how do they look in hand Obi?...I mean, I'm pretty sure I have a good idea, but first hand impressions would be cool to hear...

Well...

Everything looks good. I mean, the rest are essentially the same feel/quality of the first one I picked up, so they're good.

DW, Daremo, and myself will be assembling these guys Wed and Thurs.

Did you ever get the painting worked out, or are they going to be sold unpainted?

(I'm okay with it either way, just curious)

So there was this SNAFU with the shoulder pins not wanting to "pin" completely,
in case anyone doesn't know.

DW and I are working to rectify the situation, so these guys can actually get out
to those who want them.

I'll post any updates ASAP.

You'd have to ask DW really. I am trying to get some of these guys put together on my end, but the shoulder pin is the hang-up. Whatever I can get together, I'll let you guys know.

Well... I've been working on these guys again tonight (Eddie-ism). There are some problems.

Arms are good, until I try the shoulder pin. I'm still not sure what exactly the problem is, but the back of the shoulder (where pin inserts) ends up breaking/ripping once the pin is pushed through.

Legs/feet are good, top to bottom.

Upper torso/neck joint are 99% good. There's a very small gap at the top shoulder seam, but could be rectified by squeezing with pliers once glued together.

Lower torso/T-bar is 99% good. The modified torso joint piece looks like it needs to be 1mm longer to properly fit into the upper. Yeah... 1 fucking mm would make it work 100%.

Head/hands/M4/pack/stand good.

Thanks for the update...

The shoulder...maybe the shoulder swivel piece needs to be thicker so there's no room for the arm portion to flex when the pin is being pushed thru?...that's all I've got...

Most likely why it is ripping is there is to much pressure on the arm when the pin is inserted. Try either widening the hole where the pin goes through with your dremel or dremeling the pin to be a little smaller. if the pin is loose or seems to want to fall out you can always glue it in place once it is in its proper position.
