Unfortunately, now I have a BBI .50 without an ammo can or barrel, and a RB barrel without the suppressor. Oh, and the RB-gonna-swing-this-gun-round-like-nothin' handle.
I'm trying to figure out whether hydrospan/shrink would be worth it to get some good gun models in very near 1:18th scale (very near as in off by .05-.10 variance). Maybe. What do you guys think?
I know there's possible loss of detail, but would it be worth it to find out?
wonder if that cast can be modded to fit on top of the PoC / Retaliation Vamps?
If it's stuff that's not available in 1:18, sure.
Gonna echo Fogger on this one.

Probably not. But I don't have any styrene to use, or I'd make one and send it to be cast as well.
Edit: Damn, and here I was hoping you were volunteering, Eddie.
Edit again: Although, I might be able to do one out of apoxy. I still have plenty. Hmm.
I'm looking at something of a full modular M2/M3 kit with different barrel types, mounts, suppressors, etc, and maybe an M134 kit as well. I've talked to Jesse, and he warned me that there might be some detail loss, and I'm talking to Angelforge. No plans are being made just yet.. I'm just sort of testing the waters and seeing if a) this is possible, b) something people would buy mutables of, and c) would be worth the cost and the time to scale things up.
What cast? The gun and shield? I think it would work fine, though I'm sure it would need some minor modding to make it happen.
Yeah gun and shield...place it on top of the retaliation vamp.
It's an admirable attempt, but I'm thinking it's wasted effort trying to modify the Marauder barrel group. I think it would be a bit more passable if you did something with the flash suppressor.
I can't believe Hasbro still has the best readily-available M134 option.
Sorry, but that VvV Roadblock one IS.
It'll definitely need spade grips, and its separate handle system is just begging to have a vehicle mount fabricated for it.

Getting the barrel shape right gave me fits!...I was trying make them out of styrene, and mimicking the taper was extremely difficult to get right as was straight cuts on cylindrical styrene stock..
All in all, though, I think that the individual hollow barrels looked better than the solid cast versions even if the barrel shapes were off...

Find it ridiculous we can't get stuff like this in 1:18.

Just a heads up - I got that one in a trade and I have it packaged to ship to Jesse tomorrow.
How soon he gets it in his store I don't know. If enough want it...I will press him to get it done sooner.
Shoulda spoke up sooner. I just bought one on ebay to mod and send to AF. LOL
Sorry - just got this far in....cool gun and shield by the way.
I think if you don't go retarded with weapon systems you could have a respectable small riverine assault boat.
