I really liked TF as a kid. I didn't realize how ridiculous it was and I loved the repaints and the concept. My old man is a Nam Vet and he explained to me about the real TF so I liked them.
Seeing them now brings back a lot of nostalgia so I want to collect them. I will admit it was a hell of a lot easier and more fun when they were in the 25th line selling for $5. It sucks that these figs are $30+ but I will be keeping them and opening them.

Ok, I admit I forgot about him altogether he's so lame. But at least Airtight and Shipwreck are cool characters. Flash is lame to begin with.

I passed on this one. There were only four figs I like and two that I sort of like. Of those four, guess which one (ok two) I actually give two shits about? Like maybe the only two outside of Tiger Force that casual Joe Fans recognize? Keel Haul doesn't count. If he weren't the commander of the FLAGG, no one would care about him. At least I don't.
If I'm not mistaken wasn't Bombardier a mystery figure until just a few years ago? I remember seeing a story about a Flash repaint that was unknown to everyone , until by super sleuths over at joe club discovered its origin and identity as Bombardier. I rely have no interests in international characters so this figure means less to me than others , but it just seems like if no one even knew this character existed he wouldn't be a top choice for the subscription service . I guess it goes with the something for everyone philosophy they use for figure selection.
He's a totally lame character, the same as all International repaints. Their exclusivity is the ONLY reason anyone gives a fuck about them, and that's why the Club felt they deserved 25th updates. Which makes no sense as you're not able to own the actual valuable one, and they're almost all quite hideous.

Fuck if I know. I hope not Bombardier at all, they should at least spread out the shitty and good figures a little more evenly. Hopefully it's the Russians or at least Tollbooth or Cesspool. I bet Keel-Haul is last, like Big Boa.

Last time I always got them about 3 weeks after the west coasters
I think it was about $5 difference or something, or cheaper to go with FedEx this time. I also got 2 sets, so maybe that played into it. Also, the USPS lost my shit last time, and at least FedEx gives me an automatic tracking number, and will leave boxes at my door instead of down at the post box where all the other packages are, right by the building's front door.

I think that was confusion. Did you get this at HT? I made the same mistake and told MW, but it was a guy speculating who didn't know how to use the quote function so he sounded like he got those two instead of wanting those two to be next.
Actually, nevermind. I think you're right, after all. The speculating guy confused me because he was guessing, apologized for the confusion, then happened to be right after all. I still haven't seen pics, but apparently someone posted them at HT and then the gracious mods over there deleted it because they want to be first in important toy news. 
Some site already has pics but I'm going back to bed, I'm sure someone else will post them and likely won't be up in the middle of the night nursing remnants of a migraine.

As some of you are aware, I have been out of town for a family emergency and just got around to opening my Months 1-2 after hearing about all the complaints over at HT, and both Airtights are worthless (in addition to being generally worthless entries into the FSS). One's bubble slid completely off the card and was just rattling around inside the box, and the other has a huge crease down the front. One of my blue cops was damaged, but I guess I'll open him.
I paid for the extra insurance so I should be okay, but I'm just annoyed (per standard dealings with the Club) at their lack of care in handling on something that's supposed to be a collector's item. I filled out their site's form, I guess I'll hear from Karen in a day or 2.

I am almost certain these are packed into the mailers in China. All the club does is place a mailing sticker & invoice on them.
Luckily all of mine have been great. I have just recently started opening them. Maybe the next ones I should trade for your bad cards.

Well, the Airtight I'd prefer to have at least one carded, and they're both fucked. I'm keeping a full set of everything so far carded, but eventually I'll sell off the ones I don't want for openers from my second set. The good thing is, if someone's opening them, the one that slid straight off the card has very little damage to the card, although it did pull the art off in a few spots so I don't want to bother trying to reglue it for my "carded" one.
I'm sure they'll take it back and replace it, since some folks just recently got their first month's. If I get a POC/30th/Retaliation Joe and the card is all fucked, I couldn't care less. But when it's something coming from a Collector's Club, you'd think they wouldn't just hamfist them into the mailer boxes.

Yeah, my month 2 came in last week. I was rushing in the door to pack a bag to fly home for a family emergency so I didn't have time to inspect them till this weekend.

I'm all turned around. I got Month 2 the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I'm a week behind, that trip threw me off time wise.
While I'm having pangs of panic, I cancelled all my pre-orders for the four FSS2.0 figs I had at BBTS.
We've all done it, but I started cleaning out my stash (a very large and very full climate controlled storage unit), and I'm horrified at the sheer quantity of toys I've accumulated in the past few years. It's genuinely staggering, to the point that I had to step back and ask myself WTF I was doing. I'd have to have four more kids just to play with them all. So as a result, I cancelled a lot of pre-orders, and $50 joe figs that I doubt my kids will ever care about were pretty easy to let go of from a rational standpoint. My inner child is weeping, but he's going to have to get over it. I'll survive without a carded Tollbooth!

I felt the same way...I had some on pre-order, but just felt sick thinking about my total for 4 Joe figures being over $200...that's just stupid any way you look at it...
