I've got two of those Attacknids and can't wait until it gets nice and warm so I can start painting them.

This was an extra head that came with my Angel Forge order. I definitely need the practice.

It's an Attacknid R/C battling bot. My wife got me 2 of them. :D

The cylindrical thing on top is the magazine for the foam disc launcher. I think it's perfect as the ammo drum of an oversized CIWS-type system. Just gotta scratchbuild a rotary cannon to go with it. :)

I thought the same thing, although if you needed a cockpit for figures, you could alter it for that as well.

And with that paintjob, it reminds me of the WWR/Pipe Bomb "Bertie" that 3A released a while back...they could be partners. :)

I've been thinking of what to do with it. I painted the neck on the SW torso to match, but It is not my intention to use it permanently.

I think once I settle on a name (Light-skinned Leroy, Pretty-ass Pete, something stereotypical) what I need him to look like will work itself out.

It looks like at the very least I'm gonna have to invest in a set of 25th Shipwreck lowers and R/PoC CC feet.

Just a little rejuvenation for this one. I'm torn on adding some greebles and a suppressor. A suppressor would negate the point of it being a light machine gun, though, but add something visually. :raisedeyebrow:

The whole purple and animal print uniform is a pimp trope standard.

And it's not weight that would be an issue so much, as far as I know, that the subsonic ammunition required to make a suppressor work doesn't have the energy to cycle the action on a machine gun.

But you're right, I'm going for dystopia future drama, I'll just make up some bullshit reason for the suppressor to work with full-power ammo.

I suggest you make it part of a pair
Pimp Daddy Big Lob & little Hen :)

Someone actually does a Big Lob head, ridiculous hair-don't and all. Though, maybe that would work for Rudy "Swishy-Sweets" Watts. *ponders*

There is A LOT of detail on the Bbi HGU-56 flight helmet, but an is it a pain in the ass to paint.

I'm already 90% through, and dry brushing isn't appropriate for this kind of helmet. I may do a wash, though.

They sculpted the Velcro on the damn thing!

Great job, especially with the sling and rings.

I need to stop being lazy on that detail. What a difference.

Thanks! I have to admit I was lazy myself. I should have bored out the AN/PVS-4 before reattaching and painting it.

The light sucks, so the variation in finish and colors is mostly lost. I need to reattach and paint the boom mic, but that will be after I get the Maria Hill head painted and glued into place.

I still need to paint the pouch on the back there, I was thinking tan to break up all the olive and black?

Tan would look great.

Then tan it shall be.

Started assembly on another project. Reassembling female MU double knees causes me fits of rage. Some paint touch-ups and accessorizing and it should be ready for shenanigans.

K, what did you use to make the sling rings? They look like they have fuzz on them...are they made out of string?

Sewing thread. I wouldn't use it on a weapon for a legit soldier, but for militia, lone wolves and rapscallions are good to go.

I'm thinking of trying to make some out of wire.

I don't need to make a special trip to HL for wire. For some reason I'm not keen on slings. I guess it's because I haven't found a material I like yet. I definitely need one for Fusillade's iron.

I hate trying to make really small wire pieces. You almost need a special jig to get it to look halfway decent.

That one is based on a British launcher that sits on a tripod, not a mans shoulder. Forget what it's called though, but I ran across it on Wikipedia. I've never run across a toy of it either.

Is there ANYTHING remotely realistic in 1:18th scale that can be bought or made from found bits that is remotely similar, either in design or function (i.e. multiple-barrel launcher) like the thing that came with '89 Backblast?

http://forgotten-figures-archive.blogspot.com/2012/10/1989-backblast.html

Perhaps use one as a 9K111-2 "Fagot" (yes, that's really the name), add a tripod and have it be along the lines of the 9P135, or use all 3 (and/or add a 4th) and do a fictional vehicle-based system.

ROC has some green launchers that look like that if you strapped them togeather. (I think it came with dessert Duke) You could always use small plastic piping/tubes & paint to make your own.
