I repainted a partial Outpost Defender set I got...three years ago on eBay. It's missing one set of sand bags, but I found a cheap replacement. I want to add a different MG to the post. I had an MK19 that I wanted to add, but the feed box wouldn't fit.

NICE!

Thanks Medd. It looked blotchy as I was doing it but then felt it looked more like mold and dirt accumulated over time so I didn't mind it as much.

I need to get the other set of sandbags that my piece was missing. The only ones I can find are from the vintage set and are an OD color.

Doing some accessory work. Unfortunately this variant of the AK-74 comes with black plastic furniture and magazines, so I painted one of the mags to match the brown plastic of the older 74 magazines, simply to break up the monotony. The M16A1 and magazine bandolier will be for a fixed wing pilot custom I want to do some day. Or maybe I'll just pay MMorelock. :D

All that's left is to paint up the "tape" and "fabric" portions on these things.

Kind of silly to go through such effort for a pair of accessories, but here they are:

Hasbro, actually. It's one of those rare occasions that Hasbro actually did something better than everyone else.

It's the one from the DG Duke isn't it? I was looking at that the other day and noticed the sling loops.

Just kind of playing around with it until I can get a system that can handle higher polygon counts. I think it's looking like a decent base model.

Looks pretty good.

Continuing my figure accessorizing mania, I decided to do something based on the M1950 rifle jump bag. I think it would be better than just dumping the rifle and bandolier next to the seat in the Schleich plane.

Why we haven't gotten this yet in a 30th figure, I will never know.

They need to replace that dated 25th Mutt/Duke set of button-shirted torsos with a new sculpt that doesn't have a weird turtleneck collar (Firefly) or a bunch of fucking glued-on pouches (Lifeline). I'm hoping we see this tomorrow at Toy Fair, to be honest.

Hell yes. I was just thinking how nice an updated button-up shirt would be. One open at the collar like 25th Tunnel Rat's would be great, too.

So, Backblast has this little scribble pad on his left thigh, I'm assuming for marking calculations and angles and shit when you're angling/calculating for attacks?

Anyway, it's a sort of iconic element to his design, so I either want to replicate it, or replace it with more modern tech. Does anyone know of anything that's like, half the size of a 1:18 scale laptop screen that has a slight edge-lip to it (like an iPad?) or something that could be used as a sketch pad?

A sheet of styrene cut into a small rectangle would be the easy fool's solution, but I'm trying to for something that looks less like a cut rectangle of styrene… except I've got no idea where to start with it.

Yeah, we basically need a replacement for the 25th's go-to torsos for Duke, Mutt, and probably wide-collared Shipwreck.

ROC gave us that Lt. Stone torso, but it's just awkward and a tad too big-built. We also need an updated jacket like Hawk's and a vest similar to the Vault's Gung-Ho. (Honestly, I'm hoping we get a peek at an updated Duke, GH, and Hawk before the year ends, as those generic base parts would go a long damn way.)

PoC Beachhead's computer? Or would that not work due to buttons?

There's an electronic pad that some of the Star Trek figures had.

k, I have to agree, those accessories look great!

Here's something I've been working on the last few days. That's a Thor Destroyer body painted with black stain glass paint

No idea what to call him. I intended him to be a demon adversary for the angel I'm working on, but I'm getting a "Man 'O War" or "Bolt Thrower" vibe from him.
I can see him with a tattered cloak and a large, ornate sword....blazing with the fires of orc.

It is, isn't it?! I knew when I saw it I had to have it.

It's a little large to go sitting on a standard Joe-sized body, but looks great on the Destroyer. I think it's supposed to be a helmeted head, but I'm just using it as a giant skullhead of doom and destruction!

Crap, I started listening to Bolt Thrower and nnow I'm starting to think of different armor add-ons for him...make him bigger...more badass-er!

There was a removable display panel on RoC Paris Pursuit Baroness.

Also, one of the Spy Troops/Valor v. Venom figures had a flip up display on his wrist. I'll post a link when I find him.

Hard-Drive v.1:

Damn! I have that Baroness, but I think I gave the controller thing to my Metal-Head custom, and I have no idea where the fuck I put that… I'd want a casting of it, though, because I'd want to dremel off the outer screens and get that center one.

… But that HD display seems about perfect… I'll have to look into him, but that seems like it could work quite well. Off to quote eBay rapery!

Star Trek could be a good source… The BH thing is too button-y, yeah. I thought of that. (I could use that thing cast, though… There's also the pilot Destro arm-thing, but I forget what that looks like.

For $9.99 shipped, I just bought the whole 2-pack carded. Fuck it. If I don't use it for this, I'm sure I can use his flip-wrist thing on something else.

Thanks MM and KT!

Hopefully that works, but I'll still check out the Star Wars shit, as that was a good suggestion. You meant the new movie line, right, Fogger?

We have gotten something similar with the second Shipwreck mold (used for stormrider) but then again he's got his pants up higher than Cary Grant.

I'm toying with this and will probably have a normal sized version, but this is for a comic Blind Master.
