Dunno, depends on if I find parts in time. It would help if Five Below would have done the right fucking thing.

Other the Kwinn and white Shock Trooper, no. I wanted to look at them on the peg and see if anything sparked in my head. It's also part of the reason I haven't asked for a hook-up.

Doesn't matter, I'm calling Obi as the figure winner and pickel as the vehicle winner right now.

My future Acid Rain helmet with one of my old weathered stahlhelms.

nice k tiger! I have been searching for 1/18 german helmets for a nom de plume custom... I bought an entire fug for th helmet and it was too small ...do ye know any of th casting lads that do a decent sculpt ?
I am.still hoping to see some acid rain designs that reflect the backstory of ww2 continuing..something almost like th dust stuff...

I'll need to look around. As far as I know the only stahlhelm being cast is of the covered variety (TofuJesse, HH059).

Ha! Awesome!

I'm Acid Raining a StG, and deciding if I want to do a G43 as well.

I was serious, till I saw how it looked...thought exactly what you said. I took a pic and text my friend, later that night I tore apart like 20 vehicles to try something similar... still not happy, I went upstairs and was looking at the pics again and thought it didn't look too bad... that's why I posted it. You guys confirmed my original thoughts, so now I can move on and think of a different idea, lol. :)

Was thinking of spending way too much for a 1:18 Bf-109 for a project, and got to thinking my canceled navalized Fw-190D-9 project plane might work, too.

Pros:

It's available, and definitely in custom-fodder condition.

Cons:

It's not nearly as streamlined as the 109, and I really think the 109 would be the better candidate.

Hey, this shit costs a lot of money now, and the prize sho' don't compensate for it. ;) If I could find a 4-blade prop, or another 3-blader I'd go with the 190 right this second.

It's time like this that I hate my inability to fabricate parts. What I have in my head would really set things off.

I always find my problem to be finding a glue good enough to hold together what I want to fabricate...that's always my road block...

I think if you saw what I had in mind you'd want to give me front money. :D

same here. I pulled out some old Avatar mechs I cobbled together a few years ago that had the legs from the mechs and an AT-ST merged together.. sadly, they broke apart... I'll have to see if the plastic-weld I have will help.

And here's what I got so far:

Head casts are from Starwarsgeek. Got some Comic Pack Thrawn head casts on the way, though. I'll try out different head casts to see which captures the stature of a man like Thrawn best.

Nothing shaking on the Acid Rain custom front, so I reckoned I should practice head painting.

I want to say this is a shrunken NECA Apollo Creed head. The left jaw was jacked up, so I did a little lighter flesh tone to make it look like scarring. Not sure where this one will go. Crazy old coot? Retconned Apollo Creed? I've had the idea for a retired spy hunter kicking around in my head for a while, so he could go that way.

Working on an updated Paraviper with the wave 3.5 snake eyes as a base, swapped out the arms and head, but I'm not sure what to do leg-wise, I'm thinking either the original legs, black DG Cobra trooper legs or just leaving them as is. Ideas?

Got a Defiant door off of eBay to replace the broken one I have (one of only two parts I needed to complete mine). Tried putting it on and the damn thing broke immediately.

Man that's rotten luck, how much did the part set you back?

A few months ago I bought a replacement part for one of my Metal Man figures, an orange back-pack. This pack is nortorius for having the waiste belt having broken parts, keeping it from being secured around the figure. I found one intact, but I worry about trying on a figure out of fear the belt parts will snap off. It's useless broken, but it's also useless if I can't even use it!

About $30.

I know of a way of fixing the broken part so that it's functional, I just wanted an unbroken one.
