neither am i...Hercules (devastator) sucked me in in a bad way...if they ever make an MP Jetfire, i'm so f*@#ed...
yeah...i'm thinking G1 toon though...but one inspired by the original Jetfire toy would rock my socks off too...
I've got a high-end Macross 1/60 DYRL VF-1S that's just waiting to be modified, much the chagrin of all the anime lovers. If you think TF fans are asshole-level picky, try talking to a Macross nerd for five minutes.
Not quite as big as the original Jetfire. That G1 design borrowed from Macross was a 1/55 VF-1S, a mold fondly referred to as the "chunky monkey". The 1/60 DYRL is a tad smaller, but it's far more detailed and has significantly improved articulation.
Just took a minute to finally transform and check out MP-10 since he's been sitting on my coffee table, straight out of the box for 3 weeks, and I noticed that his driver's side mirror is missing. 
For $280 shipped from BBTS, they better replace that part. Anyone had any issues with BBTS shipping items missing parts? For a Joe, I'd just chalk it up to a factory error. But with a pricy item like this, I'm a tad perturbed.
My girl emailed them as she bought it for me as a gift so it was on her account, but since we won't hear back until Monday at the earliest due to the weekend, I was curious if anyone else had a similar experience.
I have vacuumed the floor twice since I unboxed him, but I'm always really careful to have nothing around when I open a pricy item like that for the first time, and I'm pretty sure I didn't knock it off. I've looked in the box, shipping box, and everywhere in the clamshell and it's nowhere in sight. I even tore apart both couches, looked under everything in the living room, and cut open the vacuum bag. Nada.

i did a little painting on my Exgraver and HL...fixed some things that bugged me...i think there is too much purple...as far as i'm concerned, the only purple i wanna see in Herc mode is the fists and shield...
for the green paint, i used a nice strong lacquer base coat of Tamiya Light Green TS-22...then i mixed the jar paint to come up with an almost perfect match of TFC Herc green...
on Exgraver i painted that little piece on top that was purple and the sides of his purple arm pieces that show in arm/vehicle mode...i'm thinking of painting the scoop like you did, and removing the silver from skid plates on top of Exgraver to reveal even more green...and i just cut off the peg on top of his cab
on HL, i painted the forearm parts green and some detail on his lights...i also removed the purple bumper by simply pushing out the pin...i may paint the bumper green eventually, but i need to see what it looks like w/o it when combined with the rest of Herc...i painted his dumba$$ purple thighs grey...and gave him a Decepticon sigil under his arm flap...
i gave both of them a good washing...may remove some of it, tone it down...but i still need to do some edge highlighting on them both and clean up HL better...

Damn those both look awesome. I can't bring myself to paint those guys but that looks great. Nah, no word from BBTS but from TFW2005 feedback they seem to have had several people with missing parts that BBTS sent replacements for. Fingers crossed?
thought this was cool too...Maketoys Constructicons in possible re-release colors...that green set looks quite good...still not sure if i'll bother though

Got word back from BBTS. I have to ship back my MP-10 robot and they'll send me a complete one back. I guess the mirror wasn't easy to just pop off? There may be a pin in it...
Which sucks, because my girl paid $35 in expedited shipping so it'd get here in time for my birthday before I left town. Now I bet it'll take 2 weeks round trip to get there and for them to send me the replacement.
The stupid thing is, besides the basic paint wear spots on him, he was in pretty good condition except for the missing driver mirror. Watch, the new one will have all sorts of fuckups on him.

totally agree...he looks great!...i'm really dig'n their Long Haul too...wish TFCs Long Haul had equally as beefy wheels/tires...

Yeah, Eddie, I just got my BBTS shipment tonight. My girl texted me and said I had a "large box" and it was way smaller than some I've gotten prior. Glad she hasn't seen some of those shipments.
I've never had any issues with BBTS but not only was the outer box beat to fuck, but the interior items looked like they'd been punted around the warehouse prior to shipping.
Good thing I wasn't needing any of these MISB, since I'm opening all the TFs and Joes I got. The Zarana outer case is smashed to hell, though. I've got an extra Z now that I'm gonna have to sell at cost though, or less. The smashed protective case isn't gonna help any.
I'm highly impressed with the 2 Constructicons and the 3 Insecticons. But what were the extra pieces for? I got an extra shovel for the steam shovel, and an extra set of weapons came with one of the Insecticons. Was there some error with them that these were the replacements for?

Exgraver had some QC issues with his scoop arm...it was cracking at the base because it was too tight...so they shipped a fixed scoop arm with Heavy Labor...speaking of HL, he has some QC issues too, and TFC will be shipping his fixed part(s) with the 5th or 6th figure...
and the Insecticons, i'm not 100% what the issue was, though i am aware that there was one...i THINK the plastic was too brittle on the first runs, so they added the extra parts to the next figures...
its a pain that things like that happen, but the fact that these small 3rd party comps send out replacement parts is very commendable IMO
I know with "Kickback" They were saying his knives where to sharp. Whcih is Bullshit, It's an adult collectible. Didn't hear of anybody filing Grimlocks teeth down!

have you guys seen this?...TFC is doing some "Star Cats" project, which i have no idea what that is...the cool thing is, they are gonna do a limited Defensor set...and i guess there are plans to add a Defensor head and chest sheild...he should be around the same size as Hercules...

Funny you say that. I jabbed myself with the blades not realizing how sharp they were. Granted I didn't whine about it, I just wasn't expecting them to be so sharp.

So I finally had time to mess around with the Constructicons a little last night. Has anyone else had the hip-joint problem with the dumptruck yet? (Heavy Labor?) I didn't see how it was an error. Maybe it wasn't with all figures, but I was careful and couldn't figure out what people were fucking up on it.
have you moved his legs forward/backwards yet?
if yes, then you already f'ed em up and just don't know it yet...
theres a cog and a ratcheted tooth in his crotch...problem is, there is no reliefe or clearance when the cog teeth pass the ratchet tooth and they just get sheered right off...
i moved my leg just ONE click to test it out...then i opened HL and that one tooth was broke off...so i cut a piece out of the ratchet part so it would "give" when the teeth passed over it instead of sheering the teeth off...

it affects both legs...and IT WILL happen to them all...they ALL have the same parts...its not a QC issue, its a design issue...eventually, they will become loose as the teeth get more and more ground down...you may also notice them start to squeak from the bits of broken plastic getting stuck in the gears...
