The MP Soundwave is probably my most wanted thing in the TF universe. That thing is beautiful, and now that we have all the seekers the world could ever want, MP soundwave is the big glaring hole. Hopefully it'll not just be empty promises and vapor-ware. If they make it, I'll pony up the sheckles.

I like that "rage" face. You sculpted it, right? It's pretty awesome. Does it just slip over the existing face? Or does that swap out? "Hook" gets here today, so I haven't had a chance to inspect the real thing.

On that Soundwave, I read a rumor (this is only a rumor) that this isn't the only MP Soundwave in the works. I wonder if HasTak is doing one next, prior to another Autobot? The last two "original" guys I really want from the MP line (well, 3 now if you count a redesigned Megatron to go with the redesigned, scaled-down Prime) are Soundwave and Ultra Magnus, which is pretty much a no-brainer if they went to all that trouble to scale down Prime. I'd love a Shockwave and Bumblebee too (and I guess Galvatron to go with Rodimus?) but I'd feel "complete" if Soundwave was done. Hell, I'd prefer Soundwave over anything else.

So I don't give a damn if it's official or not, that new one looks amazing. I'll gladly buy whatever one comes out first, so if Takara/Hasbro has one in the pipelines, they better reveal that shit soon, or they'll lose a lot of folks to this third party one. Because frankly, it looks fantastic.

Blaster, on the other hand, looks a bit... "soft"? Not sure how to put it, but he looks a bit derpy.

yeah, i sculpted it, in a sense...but this other guy is casting it...and yeah, it just swaps out...the face just prys off of the red light piping part of the head...

as for Soundwave...i'm betting that i'd prefer this one over one Hasbro does anyhow...i love the chunkier proportions on this one that i doubt would show up on Hasbros version

I think if Hasbro did one, he'd be a bit sleeker, and maybe angular. I'm always torn when I see two nearly identical designs that are executed so similarly, yet so different at the same time. Like MP-10 and MP-01. It took me forever to decide on MP-10, which after much gnashing of teeth is probably my preferred design... But there are still elements that I loved on MP-01 that MP-10 is missing, so it's still not a "perfect" design, by any means.

I like the scale of MP-10, but there is something about the original MP-01 design that is just almost flawless. Add that igear 'toon head with the improved/angled antennae, and MP-01 looks perfect. I guess that's why faith leader is ideal to me: right design, right size. igear might not be completely original, but they do seem to improve the designs (see the seeker improvements and alternate heads for other figures).

But that soundwave has the great combination of a very detailed, properly proportioned body with a very toon inspired head. Anyone would have a hard time coming up with something better, IMO, even has-tak themselves.

No, I agree about Soundwave. And MP-04 may still be my favorite toy, alongside MP-05. I think it's the proportions of MP-10 that make him slightly cooler... And also, considering that I'm running out of space to display, and the new MP figures are so much smaller than Megs or Prime, I am okay with the scale shift.

I may actually need to unload some toys in the future, but Greenscream will go first. I think I'll wait on clarification of a new MP Megatron before I sell MP-04, and maybe not even then. I may just keep MP-04 and 05 at my office or something, as a separate collection. They're both amazing, and I've got all the add-on kits for them (the roller and alternate head for Prime, and the stock extension for Megs).

originally, i placed a combo order...but then i got nervous that Mixmaster would get released much later than Bonecrusher, thereby holding up BC until MM arrived...and i don't like waiting for them cause i mod them...so i canceled my combo and placed seperate orders so they'd ship ASAP...big mistake since they ended up getting released so close togther...

they shipped my BC sunday night/monday morning (11hr difference) and i'm guessing MM will ship out tonight when Hong Kong goes to work, technically wednesday morning to them...

I definitely prefer the green. I will have to paint mine someday.

Just got him assembled. Is it me, or does the crane seem to have threading holes for a crane... "wire"... It has little wheels that seem perfect to thread a string through. Was that just an abandoned item?

First reactions:
I'm having a little bit of trouble getting him to stand in some poses, but I just put him on carpet, not a hard tabletop. I felt like the snaps getting the limbs in place were a tad snug, like I was afraid to break him.

I need to put some Decepticon symbols on them. And what's the deal with the red gun? I don't know why they didn't give him two purple ones, but the transparent red one is really weird to me. Is that something from the comics, or what?

He also looks a lot cooler weathered, too, btw. I may do that to mine, but I'm not sure yet. Really adds some scale to him.

Next on the checklist: iGear's Ratchet and Ironhide! Then whatever MP's HasTakTomy throws our way. :D

there were proto pics of the crane strung up...whether or not they ever intended to string it before shipping, and then abandoned the idea due to funds being realocated to fix QC issues, or to cut time, no one will ever know...

it is really easy to string up though, but w/o more weight on the hook, it looks, only okay...

yeah, the hip/leg joints on Long Haul are kinda sloppy, making him kinda wobbly, and kinda scary to leave displayed, especially if you have pets...

also, Mixmasters knee joint has been kinda sloppy on some guys bots...

heres a fix if yours is loose



as for the pegs, after a few times of pegging the bots into and out of each other, the connection loosens up a tad so you don't feel like anything is gonna break...

the red gun?...not sure...but its a good oppertunity to have a spare black/weathered gun :D

they do look great...i don't want either of them badly enough though to pay that, so i'll wait for a better price...if that never comes, then i'll just do w/o...

how bout this?...he looks okay, but not as good as IH and Ratchet...he might look better though WITH them...

Well, it looked way better last year when it was Cliffjumper. It's a little strange with a Bumblebee head... being a Porsche 924 and all. If they reshell with a beetle, I'll be all over this. But so far, all of these are just vaporware.

Come to think of it, Ironhide and Ratchet are vaporware at this point too!

its flattering...normally a big corp like Hasbro gets KOed, not some lowly customizer...its kinda cool...and apparently the chinese can't use paypal, so even though they wantted to but the one a guy at TFW cast for me and is selling, they can't...so this company(?) did the Chinese a service...

man i want everything in that set except the HISS...the soundwave is insane!

and that Herc head add on is just wrong...the styles just do NOT go together at all...i would love to see a light up Herc head though
