    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

Weird. I just got back from Walmart, and guess what I saw hanging on pegs? Along with a single Big Boa and all the same retros as last time, two Night Creepers and a Jinx. That’s really strange, because just today I got notifications from AMZ that my Doc and Torch were pushed back to 8/27 from...

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

    Super 7 GI Joe

That's what I was trying to say.

    Super 7 GI Joe

I think the general consensus is that the actual Super7s (7" w/ articulation) are pricey but pretty cool, particularly for the cartoon fans. The Reanimation (4" with nearly zero articulation) are overpriced and generally not pose/play-worthy. Jury is out on the O-rings, since they haven't hit...

Happy 15th Anniversary! Officer Drive'ish Thing

He’s always out front on all things collecting. Glad he sticks around to keep us in the know about what’s around the corner!

I don’t think he’s going for strict retro accuracy, just versions or figs that H’bro hasn’t made. For me, he does a pretty good modernization and use of parts from other lines, though I think he could stand for a bit more body armor for combat troopers.

    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

I ran across this guys' videos in my youtube feed. He's got 3 videos for the OG 13 and then some Vietnam customs for Stalker's LRRP team. I really like his customs for the OGs, particularly Zap, Short-fuse, Flash/Grand Slam and Scarlett. Nice mix of classic and modern! I do, of course have a...

    Official Figure Pic One-Shot Thread

Definitely a lot cuter than the original.

    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

Meh. All Cobra La should be exclusives so it never takes up space from the mainline (read: real) Joe offerings. I'm glad they have pretty much done the same with all the zombie nonsense as well. While JCS seems to be humming along right now, I feel like it is starting to skirt shark infested...

GI Joe Comics Compendium (Marvel reprints) Kickstarter by Skybound

Nah, I agree that what made that campaign enormously successful wasn’t remotely the add ons, but the love and nostalgia for the original work. I think, had they offered it, selling just the 4 volumes at a slightly reduced price would have been a popular choice. I went there looking for that and...

GI Joe Comics Compendium (Marvel reprints) Kickstarter by Skybound

As much as I like the individual volumes, I really don’t need to have or pay for any/all the add ons. I wish they had the option to just buy each volume individually. I am very interested in the softcover volumes option you mentioned. If you keep us in the loop when those come to market, I’ll...

    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

I've seen similar results when I've ventured out of my normal hunting grounds. It does seem to have a little to do with the size of the WM, but not solely that. When I was marooned regularly up in NoVa this past winter/spring, I went to the WMs up there, both large and small, and none had so...

    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

Cool! I'm glad it has more function than expected. Now you just need to get those Crimson Twins posed on it like they are driving it right up the roller coaster track! I was back by WM last night and was surprised to see that all the CS figs I had seen there had sold (even Big Boa ). They...

GI Joe Comics Compendium (Marvel reprints) Kickstarter by Skybound

I’ve got the fear of the USPS right now. My Joe Art Omnibus was supposed to arrive Friday before stalling in NJ for three days 🙄. Finally made it to the Richmond regional distribution center today. Supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I hope it’s still in one piece. We’ll see…

    Super 7 GI Joe

They certainly look way more posable/playworthy than the 5 POA offerings. Filling the O-ring hole left by Hasbro’s abandonment has to be a plus. I hope they sell well.

I also delved briefly into a few issues of X-Men and Spider-Man way back, though I didn't get far. If I thought GI Joe was getting a little weird, X-Men was way out there. I liked Spider-Man, but was more satisfied with the light-hearted cartoon version. Similarly with Hulk. I remember also...

    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

Right? I remember when I was a tween or so and we moved across PA to an irrefutable dump of a town in a dump of a county (worst year ever). My first impression of some of our new "friends" was this old man who, while helping us move in, apparently thought I was too old to have a GI Joe...

    G.I. Joe Classified Series (1:12)

On an encouraging (I hope) side note, I finally saw actual CS figs at WM again last night. Along with a couple leftover retro Dukes and a Recondo, they had Big Boa, Techno-Viper, Quick Kick and Airborne (return?). It was good to see a little more variety again after they had cleared out the...

GI Joe Comics Compendium (Marvel reprints) Kickstarter by Skybound

That's fantastic and really speaks to the enthusiasm for vintage GI Joe right now! I don't think I ever quite grasped the level of popularity the Joe comic had back in the day. I liked it a lot through the better part of the original run, and absolutely appreciate the quality of much of it to...
