1:18 WWII props won't do, either. Scratchbuilding the blades won't be too bad once a spinner is sourced.
Hell, I reckon an R/C prop and spinner assembly would work.

That would really be dependent on MOS. Regular rifleman would be an M16 (M14 if you go early), but if you go MACV-SOG, SEALs, or even infantry squad leader, grenadier or machine gunner your options open up quite a lot.
Some guy did some personally on Shapeways, but the only production mines I know of are Dragon's tellermine 42 and hafthohlladung 3, and whatever mines came with 25th Tripwire.
