I would assume a con exclusive set would be exactly that so unless they have stock left over to put in the web store then don't count on it.

Only misstep thus far is overestimating the delivery date. IIRC they projected February. It's now April and we just seeing painted samples? And the Marauder delays can't be the full reason.

Wait to see some painted samples, man. There's a huge diff between the Greek control art pics and what we're seeing of the actual figures. I'm still waiting for BFS to do a single thing wrong or less at hand awesome (although the Con exclusive set might be it if they don't offer it on their store site).

Eh, they are what they are. I'm not really interested in fantasy, and these all look like they rolled out of an AD&D compendium. The Sci-Fi line will probably be even worse.

They have mentioned that they are looking into a way for the KS backers to be able to get the con-set even if they can't make it to a con. No details that I have seen as to how they plan on accomplishing that yet though.

I don't mind the D&D look but only having human sized figures would be a travesty for a fantasy type line.

Creatures are what make fantasy so appealing.

Why wouldn't the Marauder delays be the reason for the HACKS delays? They're both essentially BFS product and there's only four people in the company. There's not only no need for a conspiracy, there's no time in their work schedule for one, lol.

And yeah, they've said they're looking into other means to get the Con Exes, but they haven't said it'll be thru their store. Without pre-ordering, there's no guarantee, which is all that will make me happy, in truth. BFS should be doing exclusives like them all-green Acid Rain Agurtians - stuff that's non-canon to the universe they're creating. The Eternal Struggle characters are every bit as valid as the others, and I'm gonna want them, and deliberately making canon product that customers can't get is simply dickheaded. BFS have apparently learned this from Hasbro.

I think that's part of it, everything is human-sized. That and they really didn't go wild with the designs, but I digress. No sense beating a dead horse.

I believe they are using the same factory, and thus Marauder's issues have had an effect on BFS's line.

Kickstarter update

https://www.kickstarter.com/project...gures/posts/1280439?ref=backer_project_update

Special Skeleton pieces!

This is something we haven't talked a lot about yet, but each Skeleton will come with some very special additional pieces. A while back we started looking at ways to make the skeleton as diverse as possible when it came to customizing. We designed head and hand grip diameters that were virtually the same as our existing male and female sculpts, but some of the secondary armor pieces weren't going to fit without help. In addition, we couldn't fit peg holes into the bottom of the thin skeleton feet. That's where these special parts come in! We've developed a system of small clips that can help bulk out the arm or leg of a skeleton to make the armor stay in place, plus a piece that the feet slip into that enable it to plug onto the figure stands securely. How cool is that?

Actually really glad to hear this, as my intention was to armor up a skeleton.

Skeleton warrior looks awesome! the Fantasy figures are meh, until they do dwarfs and maybe goblins. I would like to see them tackle some War of the Roses style Man-at-arms figures and, myabe some mounted knights for pure fun!

only 5 months to go
BOSS FIGHT STUDIOS said:
Hi Boss-Fighters!

This is the big one. We have the process rolling to our satisfaction and we can finally announce dates. But first, a little background:

When we started Boss Fight Studio almost two and a half years ago, we knew we wanted to do more than freelance development for other companies - our main goal was to develop our own product. Something without compromise, that we could stand behind, that would be among the best collectible toys out there. Thanks to all of you, the Kickstarter campaign was successful beyond all expectations. Since this was our first crowd funding campaign, the flip side of this success was that we ended up adding far more items than we had initially planned on, and development on those additional items took time.

As many of you already know, we've also been dealing with some manufacturing hiccups on the product for our friends at Marauder "Gun-Runners". We've been intimately involved with the entire process, and Marauder is using the same factory that we'd already sourced for HACKS. We wanted to make sure that the Marauder Task Force figures were dead-on, primarily to follow through with our friend Marauder John, but also because, if the factory that we're partnered with couldn't get these right, it wasn't going to be the right place for Vitruvian HACKS.

Well, we're happy to report that the factory went above and beyond to meet the high quality expectations of MGR and BFS. Including completely re-running the entire production run of MTF figures, and hiring new employees to do exacting quality-control checks. On our recent trip to China, we were able to witness these changes first hand and reaffirm that we are partnered with the right people, who care about delivering top-notch products. Partners who are 100% committed to forging long lasting relationships, with both BFS and MGR, for years to come. The delay to our original manufacturing window was significant, but in the end, it will be worth it.

With production and shipment of the Marauder Task Force figures, wrapped up in June, Our factory partners were freed up to continue tooling preparations for Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. and have been working fast and furiously. Up until this point, we did not have a solid delivery window, and for that, we apologize. We know you guys have been waiting a long time.

We have been told to expect our first test-shots for review in the middle of August. This represents a significant milestone in the process and we cant wait to share photos with you all! We have also been informed that, due to the large number of items, production of our order will be split into two groups shipping approximately one month apart. If all goes relatively smoothly, we are looking at a 4th quarter delivery window. We wish it was sooner, but the complexity of the figures and sheer number of items will take time to manufacture. We can't thank you guys enough for your support and patience. When we have more info, pics, whatever, they'll be passed on to you without delay.

Best wishes,
Andrew, Fred, Dave, Erik and Catrina.

Eh, better than the JCC art, but that's not saying a whole lot. I wouldn't give a shit if they came in a Ziploc bag. Keeping these carded is a crime and a waste.

You'll be glad to know the custom blanks -which includes the skeletons- will be packaged exactly like that; in a baggie with a plain header card.

I think they're spending too much time, effort and resources on extraneous shit like card art. I'm hoping that none of this has any bearing on the timeline for us getting figures in hand.

The card art's likely been done for months now and they're just sprinkling stuff out to maintain interest and a connection to the customer base. The delay has always been about the first batch of bad MTFs and the ripple effect from ensuring a quality product. The HACKS project is about 4 times larger than the MTFs project, and so the manufacturing is gonna take longer. Things that people gripe about as problems are regular and routine issues in toy production (and any product production, really) and are only known and visible to us because BFS are going well out of their way to keep us informed.

Good. Now they need to line up a release venue other than BBTS.

They're working on building their own web store, and have mentioned trying to get them distributed to comic shops via Diamond (although it's been awhile since I've heard any mention of that).

There's a third packaging update today. I'd copy/paste it but I can 'grab' the info on this tablet out of the email for some reason. But the filecards are much more legible this time, and one of the Temporal Logs has a phrase something like, "in our efforts to repair the timeline". MUCH COOLNESS, adding in an overarching storyline to the entire toyline, and not leaving each Theme be separate and independent. There's a whole 'nother story in that one small word 'our', too.

Said it before and I'll say it again; Ziploc that shit, just get them the fuck out and available. And the only limit is the size of your wallet.

As a fan of big Multiverse crossovers, I'm loving the filecards and their allusions to some kind of time crisis. It's pretty much how I've always played with my figures and this is pretty much the best toyline ever made, imho.

If only they'd actually make the fuckers already!

No way in hell. The card art's been done for months now and they're dribbling it out to maintain the command line with the customers, and should not be taken as indication of the timeliness of progress. The delay is what it's always been: BFS being sticklers for putting out quality product for both themselves and the companies they contract their design services to.

I'm told she comes with additional weapons than the standard Amazon, as well. I'm gonna pass just because the silver doesn't work well with her skintone.
