One DG here had nothing, but when I was leaving, their truck pulled up yesterday...so I'll be checking again today.
Yup, need 5 or so more of these. Sadly I don't have the gear to go with them.

I just happen to have a cache of these very same Action:18+ items made by DML several years ago (10 years to be exact). I've got all the guns, the panzerfausts, anti-tank, the belts, the ammo pouches, the helmets and the zetltbahns (both the splinter and plane tree camo), etc. Tons of GI stuff, too.
Any interest in a trade for gear, if you come across any more of this DG wave? I'm going to be posting all this Action:18+ stuff in the B/S/T forums anyway, but thought I'd give you first dibs since I see your interest.
Also, general question for anybody: When we say "re-paints," for instance, the Cobra Trooper's legs are actually cast in black plastic, right, not the original blue painted black, right? Just checking.
I am located in KY (Corbin) and I've been to the two DG's (that I know of) and they ain't got nuthin. FWIW, I am originally from NJ, Co. Bergen. I miss NJ.

No-way! The figures were crapola. I changed all the gear on my 21st C figures (which I loved) with he accessories on the DML - even the jacket skirts! Back in 2002, that basically meant the perfect 1:18 figure.Sure, as long as I don't have to take the figures too.
Nah, when we say repaint it's simply to denote a different color, whether it's different paint or base plastic color.

The heads were too big so I didn't even get to utilize any of them. Other than that and the plug-style helmets everything else was beautiful.

I think the folks in London are holding out on me. I bet the manager of the place is selling them on Ebay. That or they are unpatriotic and didn't order any Joes. All the DGs I've seen in Corbin and London have only had the lame combat Heroes.

jersey is where it's at.. ocean co here.. repaints? i too was tossed back when i got into joes, i was like that shit aint even painted, but after awhile you catch on to the lingo. yes they are black plastic, but considered a repaint, it was prob a star wars dork who created that term. ..
for those of you that aint aware of dg's in your state, go to the website and find store locations.
There is a little less than a dozen DGs in my area. I've checked all but one that is a little farther north than all the others. None of them had anything. I'm going to have to either go to a city like Lexington and search the DGs there, or find the DG in my area with the most cooperative employees and management and ask them to order a couple boxes.
if they are getting one case, then the boat was missed. the one in my town, my buddy niksal went and the chick said 20 guys came in already looking for these. i didn't even know we had 20 joe fans in my area. damn hisstank lurker.. or just damn hisstank scalpers. a real joe fan exposes himself on the tank and actually converses. the rest are there to just lurk and steal the goods when the news comes.

Are both variants showing up at DG, or is it just the black officer/blue SW assortment?
Also, I've obviously not been paying attention until now, but what I assumed were the strips of the American Flag on the background of the card front is actually a faded Arashikage hexagram, and while the Cobra figures have the standard insignia on their packaging, Duke and SW have the Arashikage symbol, just like the Retaliation packaging.

It's the "gotta' have" mentality of collecting. Some people can't wait and will pony up for stuff.
I'm referring to the side of the bubble...the cardboard insert that has the figure's name. Cobra figures have the Cobra insignia, while Joe's have the Arashikage hexagram.
I'm just lamenting that, even outside the movie figure line, the Joes have seemed to have lost their identity separate from Snake Eyes.

At this point I'm speculating that these sets are just something that are randomly showing up and are rare at best and will never be seen again. I'm going to give up on hunting for them for now. Maybe if the movie is a hit in the box office and gets GI Joe on childrens minds they'll appear in much greater quantities and be abundant later in the year, but I'm not holding my breath.
If DG was smart, those stores would take notice of all the Joe fan boys asking for them and then they'd start ordering more cases. However, they are probably extremely cautious of ordering them because they are still saturated with "Combat Heroes" and $3 figures with no weapons and accessories. kind of like the time when we all wanted POC stuff but retailers wouldn't distribute them properly because they still had ROC crap.
