Found a bunch of Reach stuff on clearance at Wal-mart, so I broke down and bought some figs. They had a few single figures for $7, a bunch of two-packs for $11 and the Warthog for $19. Not too shabby.

I'm glad to see that they're still making some in the original scale. This means only 1 member of the ODST squad has to be made to complete them. I'm sure we'll see him sometime next year.

I haven't bought much since the toy budget has dropped to near zero. Looking forward to building up some cash to afford all the new Haloz.

I saw some Kmart sets yesterday for 22 bucks, but they came with a lot of extra parts.

I had to modify the backs of the knees on the ODST's to get 90 deg of flex. I have been dying for a Falcon. The Mongeese(see what I did there) are awesome. The Warthog was woohoo. Never got that other purple thing(dunno what its called...I have never played Halo).
TRU sells the figs for something like $16, Target and Walmart(when they do stock them) sell them for like $12 so I like to pick them up there. The local Wally and Target haven't restocked since around xmas so I wait patiently.....hoping.

The Falcon mock up was a thing of beauty. I could see it full of Joes, with some different door guns and a fast line rig.

Anyone see the Halo stuff from Toyfair? My wallet is burning already. I want a few of the drop pods. Sort of liking the new Cheif armor but I have to see it up close first.
The ODST drop pod is frickin' sweet. Kind of makes me hate to let my Halo figures go... Are the pods for the Halo 3 scale or Reach scale?
Does anyone have the newest Master Chief, the one from Halo: Legends? I'm wondering if the articulation is improved on him. It looks like it but I can't tell.

If thats the one, I do have him. His articulation kinda blows. Mine has super loose hip and ankle joints so he can barely stand on his own. Also, the gun looks goofy small on him so I gave it to my ODST crew.

The pic I saw had the old ODST in it, so happy days.
I've picked up a few armor packs and an Mongoose for $9 at my Walmart and am loving it. Sad to say, but the Reach figures are far superior to anything Joe has offered in a long time.
That's not what I wanted to hear. That makes me want to keep my collection instead of selling it...
I only kept my ODST's and Marines. Spartans just don't hold up to the Reach figures and have been replaced.
I still think the height difference, even if it is accurate, between the Spartans and ODST/Marines is a little ridiculous. Spartans are frickin' giants!
i believe the pod has the ODST "rookie" fig. Looks lit its just a repaint of him. Hopefully, they stepped up the QC on that guy because I have read the old rookie was an exploding figure when removed from package.
All the ODST guys are based on the Rookie mold and have held up decently for me, but articulation is limited at best. I don't count the ODST fig based on the Reach Marine mold since those guys have worthless arms.
PCS, you must be referring to the lack of bicep swivel on those guys. Very annoying. Why McF decided that was a good idea is beyond me. I just cut the arms off at the bicep, used the little peg thats supposed to hold their weapons to them, and made their arms pivot at the biceps now. Doesn't look "too" bad...but I am about as gentle as Kodiak so seamless mods are non-existant.

I refuse to pay $11 for a figure and then cut and drill his arms. I like the old Marines and they fit with the Rookie mold, so all is good.

I love the new Spartans (Reach). The only problem I am having now is availablity. If I wanted a dozen helmetless Jorges or Carters I would be all set but....No. The local TRU has them but for $16...no way man.
I've had teriffic luck lately and am very tempted to pick up the green armor pack with the guy who came single carded with robotic arm and rocket launcher.
Walmart is clearing everything out and resembles your area, but Target is bloated with new stuff.

I have yet to find the Sage green armor pack but man do I want, want, want. They need to release more single pack green spartans. I like the green better than the bright blues, reds, yellows, etc.

Just left the Wally where I got my $9 Mongoose and they had another one on clearance for $19.99. Makes no sense.
No Sage at this Target, but they had the Steel CQB pack. I have a nice little team of steel spartans guys I'll post in a bit.
