The only thing that I would maybe want is the Flak Cannon with Steeler but I need better pics before I can truly say that
Freestyle is interesting only because she's a chick pilot and doesn't look bad (minus those stupid orange weapons) but I don't want that Chuckles kitbash.

The Club's getting too greedy for its own good. And that's RETAIL price. Even the SDCC one didn't top $100, did it? And it had a cool CC and mini Megatron, too. And good box art.
Actually, after seeing a posting on eBay, that Chuckles doesn't look half bad with the stupid helmet removed. He's got new 30th arms, it looks like, although he still has that goofy head. But the gear and legs on him aren't bad. I'll likely get the 2-pack, and skip the rest of the exclusives except for the carded IB that comes to the store. Lady Jaye is going to cost too much to bother.

The problem with the Steeler head cast, is that it doesn't fit on many neck balls without looking silly. I had to dremel/fill it for my custom one. Looks like the Club didn't bother to sit it higher, either.
Also, I love how fast these dickheads run to eBay. Sell that shit when you get home, you scalping fuckers, and go enjoy the nerd festivities.

I seriously want to see them snatch it like starving squirrels, then run back to a corner to photograph and upload it. It's probably the fastest that they've ever run. Not that I'm a health nut or even in shape myself, but I also don't do that scalping nonsense. And if I did, I'd do it later, not waste my time doing it at the convention the second they hit the sales floor.
A shame it had to come out in the Club at a premium. I got the Alyosha one years ago, so I'm cool. (Imagine that, I actually received it!)
Yeah, it is. It's kinda goofy looking, though. I always thought he should look more like the Matt Trakker head sculpt.

Not gonna lie, that Steeler actually looks pretty good when looking at decent pics. Not enough for me to buy him, but I kinda want him. The Flak added to the cost of getting him will prevent that.
He'd be salvageable with a different pair of legs from any of the snow themed figures made in the last 4 years. But you'd still be paying premium, so fuck that.

God, he does look terrible. They seriously did just retool the vintage head sculpt and plop it on that body. God, it looks so dated and lacking in detail!

Maybe I'm naive or an idiot for hooking up folks for cost plus shipping, but I attend conventions with the hopes of having fun, and maybe spreading that love. Not stuffing my pockets or funding my nerd outings at the expense of others. What a sad state of things.

Iceberg is a all-you-can-eat shit casserole buffet.
The body is the least awful part of the figure, and that's not a good combination of parts.
The head itself is just the laziest shit I've seen from them in years. Dial-Tone and Footloose/Claymore had great head sculpts. The OG set new sculpt heads, and the new Night Force set head sculpts are all fantastic. Not one of them I really have any qualms with. The new heads in the FSS are fantastic. Even the retooled "new sculpt" heads that they retooled still work (like Sparta and CG), for the most part. They're not as sharp in detail, but they don't stick out like a sore thumb.
I'm pretty sure that the helmet from Charbroil is just the OG helmet recast, and the same with maybe Darklon's head, but those are both helmets, and geometric. So it's a cheap-out, but it works there and I think it gets a pass as well.
But this? Oh. My. God. I thought Dial-Tone could've been better, but this one is a "why'd you even bother?"
I wouldn't have gotten two memberships if they'd shown this trash up front. I'll be damned if I do that again. It's just the water-head-baby, 30-year-old Iceberg sculpt fit onto the new neck-ball format.

As neat as Free-style is, and as much as I find Chuckles tactical Hawaiian shirt is, I don't think I could ever pay more than 15 bucks for a 3 3/4" figure, no matter how good it could possible. I mean, no matter what spin you put on it, it's still a little piece of plastic, and I'd rather spend the money on a flesh light.
