Haha, it wasn't intended to sound like rage..but re-reading it, I can see how it might sound that way...but like I said in the post, my feeling of being done with this nonsense has been building for a while...it's not fun at all any longer...stressing about the stupid stuff they do and the scalper helping attitude Hasbro/GIJCC has has finally pushed me over the edge...I mean, finding the retail stuff is even miserable...

Words cannot express my level of frustration right now. I was supposed to attend Joecon, but could not after a last minute change of plans. I even bought a booth which I could not get a refund for. So I did not get to attend, I'm out money and now I see an awesome Lady Jaye that I will never own.
I will be posting pics of the stuff I picked up. I was going to pick up a carded Iceberg but after seeing it I was inclined to just take the loose one I will get as the membership fig, really disappointed with IB. I didn't pick up the Steeler/FLAK, I saw the one displayed with helmet then when I saw him without I passed. Those so far have been the only real let downs for me. I love the Night Boomer and the Chuckles/Freestyle 2 pack. I picked up the NF LJ for my daughter and I have to admit that it is a good looking figure. The con set looks a lot better with everyone all geared up. The parachute drop was cool for the kids until some "adults" decided they were going to push the kids out of the way. A guy tried that with one of my boys and I just happen to be talking to a Indy City Police Officer and I was wearing my Sheriffs -Shirt and he politely said sorry and handed my boy back the kreo parachute fig. I was shocked by how nasty some of the "adults" acted. One guy had like 10 kreos in his hand and was complaining that a little boy next to him didn't have one. This so far has been the only negative experience. The boys are having a blast hanging out with everyone else in costume.
Wow just wow! Didn't they have a separate parachute drop for kids last con to avoid that?

I think we were standing next to each other and didn't know it. I saw a club rep hand a little boy a kreo. I was shocked when the adults bumrushed into the kids. This was my first con and I thought it was a kid only thing, then the adult mosh pit. I am glad your little guy got one. I do have to say that the club reps have been very nice and friendly to my boys.
They had good intentions but then the tsunami of big kids hit the little ones.
In the clubs defense I will say they walked around asking people that had doubles or dozens to share with kids that didn't get one.
Small world, yes I have been very impressed with the club employees. They are very friendly and kind. I had heard horror stories about the drop and it wasn't as bad as I thought but still odd. I would say it is 50/50 with people being nice to my so and being annoyed with kids being around.
Just got back in from spending the day out. Looks like I didn't miss anything.
Posted this at HT and folks are defending the Club already. I'm sorry, but they fucking lied. Adding whites behind the figure's eyes and then omitting the paint apps on the frames of his goggles doesn't equal "adding detail". And the mockup was the final head, not a placeholder. They intentionally didn't show that shitty Iceberg and claim it was "final" because they knew some folks wouldn't re-up their memberships. The last 2 years, they've shown Footloose and Dial-Tone WAY in advance. I wondered why they waited so long, and the cutoff for memberships for Iceberg ended on March 16. That was just a little over two weeks ago. You mean to tell me these things were still a mystery as to what they looked like a mere 2-3 weeks ago, yet here they are: carded and shipped? Fuck that.

I didn't pay faithfully this year. I paid "hopefully" this year, with the idiotic assumption that they wouldn't, in a million years, recast the fucking featureless, 30-year-old head.
His nose is a triangle and his lips are like a duck's! The only way I'd be any madder, was if I was black... because that's surely the worst caricature of a black man's face I've seen on any 1:18 figure so far.
I showed my girlfriend (who already hates my nerd collections, but she's a designer as well, so she gets production on shit like this) and she just laughed at it. She said as much as she hates these things, the sculpting was pretty good for a toy that small. But she said the Iceberg looks worse since he's missing the paint apps on his goggles, and she called out that the features are even softer (likely because they case it from the vintage head, and lost detail). They actually managed to make it look worse!
She also mentioned that the body looked like shit, but that's the least of the figure's issues.
Anyways, I guess we'll see some new stuff tomorrow? Maybe?
