Yeah, I want paras and FJs more than just about anything. Not seeing the point of a Russian tanker, seeing as there isn't anything in 1:18 for them to ride in. pcsguy should be happy, though.

Maybe it's the cynic in me, but I always assumed that they put the more desirable stuff in the stretch goals to, ya know, give people more incentive to spend the money to get to the stretch goals... no?

$87,650 by 239 backers so far.. so over $300 per person? Damn. Wonder if some eBay types are buying a huge lot to sell later?

Looking at the offerings.. damn these are expensive. The higher priced tiers are still over $19 a figure. You're saving mere pennies by buying in bulk. What the eff? I remember the original kickstarter has figured down into like the $11 and $12 range when we did a site buy.

I guess it's because every figure comes with a lot of shit? á la carte squads are gonna kill your desire to do this shit.

There was a day when we could have covered that with our twelve members. Mayhem is a pretty nice deal if you're armybuilding with buds.

Ah. I didn't see the $699 and I guess $999 give you one of each stretch goal unlocked as well.

I guess that brings the $699 down to something like $14+ per 'item' though you're stuck with one of everything and no multiples (but sure, why not trade around).

And yeah, the Mayhem is about $10.50 per item, though you can 'army build' your stuff better with a selection.. but $1K.. yeesh. But it's the only one that makes sense for a group buy.

I can probably toss in $100 or something if we want to try and get a pot together for that. I fucking don't need any WWII figures, but some of them seem cool.

Unlocked the corpsman. Anyone wanting to do a German sänitater, you can probably repaint one of the Japanese ammunition pouches to pass as a German medic pouch.

They've altered the landser with StG 44 to a mid-to-late war appearance. The overly textured canteen cover looks particularly odd in that green, but whatever. Looks like the M2 gunner should be unlocked as well. Still don't know what's going on with that Ma Duece.

Probably. I'm interested to see what they have for stretch goals at that tier. In other news, I stumbled on my Wiking cuff title stickers the other day. I guess I'll be able to make some evil SS men out of these after all.

Looks like they had 20K worth of fake pledges, and are back to under 153K. Couple of nice figures have to be unlocked again.

No they don't

John is leaving them unlocked and added a new stretch goal so it is not so far to the next unlock. A camo marine:

Huh. I was wondering why it looked like the funding was moving at a snails pace.
I expected them to stall out AFTER the first weapon pack. They'll get a flurry of support at the end, I just don't know how far it'll go. I'm interested to see how well that frog skin pattern comes out on the finished product. Looks pretty good in the render.

12 days.

If it keeps the pattern of the others ... likely will be slow until last couple of days. I really want to get to the Brits and the Russians...and the solid "ARMY MEN" ones are going to match existing colors to make customizing simple.

I thought it was steep at 1st as well. Only time will tell...thing is - I am not a WWII guy...but can easily make some great October Guard with the Russians...some cool parts used with the Brits... lots of weapons Joe collectors would use for there joes too...

Might grab a VSK-94 for grins, but would rather have had a VSS. Still need to grab a FAL and see if I can fix it.

Wrestling with pledging on the WWII line, too.

I'm very interested the WWII stuff but it's the worst time money wise for me. I totally need some Russians troops and the weapons sets.

64k between now and the first Red. Very doable if past Marauder KS campaigns are any indication.

rearranged them to get those lower - by removing most of the solid colors...those will still be made (likely) but not a stretch goal anymore.

Hey Taskers!
You want it, you got it! We moved up the highly requested new figure designs in the stretch goal order. We wanted to make them easier to unlock. We will look at still offering the "solid" color figures to those that want them after the event (if the tools for them are unlocked). The solid Green soldier is still stretch goal #12.
Also, to help stir up participation in the event, added "612 Backer Level" and "714 Backer Level" Stretch Goals to the event (both have ALL NEW headsculpts):
612 Backer Bonus:

714 Backer Bonus:

As we said, there are LOTS of surprises in store for our MTF WWII Kickstarter event during the final week! Now it gets REALLY fun!
Thanks for the support!

Oh.. that makes sense. I guess I could have read the updates!

I hate the layout of kickstarter though, it gets so jumbled with these big KS with lots of goals/options/etc.

Does Marauder make the figures available to buy normally down the road? I can't remember how much the first figures cost to buy by themselves.

the original MTF males are 11.99 without a head on the site...goes all the way up to fully geared figures for 24.99. I am sure all of these will be available on the site after the KS supporters have their orders...

Added a Panzergrenadier as bait for the "Mayhem" and "All-In" levels. You can buy him for $25 on the other packages, but they aren't eligible for any of the, lower roll-you-own pledge levels.

No no short-staffed panzergrenadier gruppe for $117 for me. :hulk:

Who thought putting the German paratroopers after the British Desert was a good idea?! :(

34 hours to go? How much further do you think they'll get? It seems like the Russians are unlikely now, which kinda kills my interest boner.

I don't foresee them sweeping the board, but they should at least unlock a couple of Limeys. As to the FJs being after the sandlimeys, they kind of painted themselves into a corner. No point in doing DAK if there are no opfor, and while the FJs could go against the earlier US Army and Brits, they have a fair bit of new tooling.
It'll give them a starting point for another KS campaign in a couple of years at any rate.

Something was gonna have to get short-shrift any way you slice it. I remember the 21st DAK figures. About the only pluses I can recall were the rolled sleeves and classy tropical high boots.
WWI anything would do for me. I've got a drawing for some WWI Russians that would make interesting figures.
