Holy SHIT Cap2 was awesome. I think it's my favorite solo film so far, behind Avengers anyways, maybe tied with Iron Man. The action scenes are fucking insane. Cap taking out all the baddies on the ship at the beginning was just like I imagined a comic book superhero to be in real life, and they have the physics almost perfect now. (No more cheesy wire stunt yanks when someone gets kicked or hit, they look pretty realistic, despite how far the person gets knocked.)
And I was hoping to see Zola's robot body, it's a shame they teased it in the first and all we got was a dated mainframe in this one, but still cool seeing him again.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. got fucked. The show is going to be a totally different landscape now.
According to the writers of Cap 3, it will VERY heavily focus on Bucky...wonder if Cap dies in Avengers 2 and Bucky takes over as Cap?
I doubt they'll kill off Cap so soon, he's way too interesting. But maybe?
He was an old coot!
Tony Stark (in the MCU) was born on May 29, 1970. Howard Stark was born August 15, 1917 and died December 17, 1991.
We don't have a DOB for Maria Stark, but I'm assuming she was much younger than Howard.
Yeah, I guess so. For some reason I always figured he died in his 40's or 50's, not his 70's.
But I didn't really pay that much attention.
But they made it seem like Howard died young in the Cap 2 scene…
The photo was of YOUNG Howard, not older Howard. He sure as shit wasn't in his 90s.

I'd like to see them have to team up to take down Red Skull and Hydra, and then Cap properly sacrifice himself in A3.
So where the fuck was Hawkeye during all this? I thought he and Widow were BFFs?

Yeah, that was very obviously set up...
Here's something from Feige about Hawkeye...I think I posted it a few days ago...
Kevin Feige On AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON And Hawkeye's No Show In Cap: TWS
Basically, he didn't want the film to be too jam packed just because...
I saw somewhere (I think it may have been in one of the links posted here, to be honest) that in a comic or something, it was stated that War Machine was on assignment in Europe during Avengers, and he showed up right after they were eating shawarma. Little shit like that goes a long way in writing off where someone is.
I always hate that, when they could utter a single line that would dismiss them for being in the film's action. They did that with Jane Foster in Avengers, which I appreciated. It annoyed me that they didn't mention War Machine in Avengers, though, and why War Machine or Iron Man wouldn't have gotten to the Triskelion in time to help with the ending of Cap 2.

Especially a government weapon like War Machine/Iron Patriot and Iron Man, who is tied so closely to SHIELD that he helped them with his repulsor tech. (I did really like that line about how Stark got up close and personal to the faulty propellers, which is why he upgraded them with the repulsor tech.)
