Holy SHIT Cap2 was awesome. I think it's my favorite solo film so far, behind Avengers anyways, maybe tied with Iron Man. The action scenes are fucking insane. Cap taking out all the baddies on the ship at the beginning was just like I imagined a comic book superhero to be in real life, and they have the physics almost perfect now. (No more cheesy wire stunt yanks when someone gets kicked or hit, they look pretty realistic, despite how far the person gets knocked.)

And I was hoping to see Zola's robot body, it's a shame they teased it in the first and all we got was a dated mainframe in this one, but still cool seeing him again.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. got fucked. The show is going to be a totally different landscape now.

I saw that clip a week or so back of the first ten minutes of the film...Cap and BWs fight skills/scenes were just ridiculous...

According to the writers of Cap 3, it will VERY heavily focus on Bucky...wonder if Cap dies in Avengers 2 and Bucky takes over as Cap?

I doubt they'll kill off Cap so soon, he's way too interesting. But maybe?

I'd like to see them have to team up to take down Red Skull and Hydra, and then Cap properly sacrifice himself in A3.

I wouldn't be surprised...movies/shows like to do that Walking Dead "shocking" major character kill off to keep you guessing..."no one is safe!!"

So I was reading about Cap 2...that Tony Starks dad's death wasn't an accident, but that SHIELD/Hydra actually killed him...was it Winter Soldier who did the deed?

No idea, but that's what they seemed to hint at. They're starting to muddy up their dates and things a little bit. How old was Howard Stark in that Stark Expo archival footage in IM2? I know it's a different actor playing him now (and not Roger Sterling) but still, he was a tad older in that video, and it had to have been within the last 40-ish years, as Tony Stark can't be THAT old, right?

Tony Stark (in the MCU) was born on May 29, 1970. Howard Stark was born August 15, 1917 and died December 17, 1991.

We don't have a DOB for Maria Stark, but I'm assuming she was much younger than Howard.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I never really saw Hulk as a good guy. In fact he was originally a bad guy. I guess I don't like the Bad guy is now a good guy kind of story.

Anyways, a while back some photographer was shooting his camera at Marvel in NY trying to get some kind of scoop. He shot a conference room with some Planet Hulk posters, supposedly a Planet Hulk movie pitch. So it might be possible down the road, but I don't think we will be seeing it soon.

But they made it seem like Howard died young in the Cap 2 scene…

The photo was of YOUNG Howard, not older Howard. He sure as shit wasn't in his 90s.

Yeah, I guess so. For some reason I always figured he died in his 40's or 50's, not his 70's.

But I didn't really pay that much attention.

Yeah, same here…

They did but that's only because they wanted to keep using the current actors likeness. He's also going to be Howard Stark in the upcoming Agent Carter Netflix series too.

No way he dies in A2. They are already in pre production for Cap 3.

This^^

I can see Rogers "dying" in A3 and then Bucky takes on the shield. After that last credit scene in Cap 2, I think it's pretty obvious that him and Bucky will be teaming up in Cap 3.

Cap 2 was amazing!...I'll say it, I'm not afraid...BEST Marvel movie by far!...yes, even better than Avengers!

The pacing felt perfect...and by comparison, Avengers now feels very rushed for it's content...

And the "villain"...I think I've said it before, I don't care for Loki (or his mystical/magic crap)...so right away there's that...I'm just not a fan of weasely villains, snakes...Starscream annoys the heck out of me for instance...I prefer the tough guy villain, real bada$$es...

Cap 2 just felt like a serious movie, but yet was still fun (it can be done!)...

I'm glad they saved Red Skull for later. It was much better simply seeing ordinary men as the bad guys. Well, plus Bucky the Super Soldier, heh.

It seems like a purer corruption (or is it less pure?) having a bunch of regular humans in charge plotting against the super-powered.

I really liked keeping Cap more grounded. He always seems sillier facing off against more powerful characters since he's technically the weakest "powered" Avenger. He's basically only ahead of the regular humans in terms of strength, and why it worked pairing him with Widow.

So where the fuck was Hawkeye during all this? I thought he and Widow were BFFs?

In traction from all the off-screen fucking he and BW were doing? :D

Probably on different assignments for S.H.I.E.L.D.

In reality, He made a comment about how he wasn't used well in Avengers and didn't know if he would continue being in the Hawkeye role. So they didn't use him for Cap 2.

He's since retracted his statement and has been gushing over MU since. Marvel has also stated several times that Hawkeye will be used heavily in A2.

As for the movie verse, I'm thinking he had an assignment in Europe. Fury says at the end of Cap 2 that he's heading to Europe. Von Strucker's lair is probably in Europe and A2 is being shot partially there so it makes sense that Fury and Hawkeye will have a few scenes explaining what he's been up to.

Here's something from Feige about Hawkeye...I think I posted it a few days ago...

Kevin Feige On AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON And Hawkeye's No Show In Cap: TWS

Basically, he didn't want the film to be too jam packed just because...

I always hate that, when they could utter a single line that would dismiss them for being in the film's action. They did that with Jane Foster in Avengers, which I appreciated. It annoyed me that they didn't mention War Machine in Avengers, though, and why War Machine or Iron Man wouldn't have gotten to the Triskelion in time to help with the ending of Cap 2.

I saw somewhere (I think it may have been in one of the links posted here, to be honest) that in a comic or something, it was stated that War Machine was on assignment in Europe during Avengers, and he showed up right after they were eating shawarma. Little shit like that goes a long way in writing off where someone is. Especially a government weapon like War Machine/Iron Patriot and Iron Man, who is tied so closely to SHIELD that he helped them with his repulsor tech. (I did really like that line about how Stark got up close and personal to the faulty propellers, which is why he upgraded them with the repulsor tech.)

a lot of that kinda stuff gets explained later on when they are doing their separate projects.

As for IM, at the end of IM3... he loses everything and appears to "settle down" with Pepper. I would imagine that during Cap 2, he doesn't have any suits yet or has just started making them.

I'm sure this will be addressed in A2.

Totally agree...little comments (easter eggs?) and cameos are very cool AND appreciated...what he's (Feige) saying they don't want to do is exactly what I do want to see...it's one of the awesomest parts about Arrow...they do stuff like that regularly and it's just awesome...

I don't need Batman to show up on the show, but Oliver just saying he has/had a meeting with Bruce Wayne (for business purposes) would be killer cool...that's really something that goes a long way with fans...
