It's easier to sculpt a good 6" head as the two-up is larger.

I dunno. I though the 25th Scarlett (pony tail), Helix and RoC Scarlett (hair down) heads were pretty good, the Baronesses (pretty much all of them), Cover Girl and Lady Jayes not so much.

I agree on the Baroness, but tend to keep my mouth shut because from what I've seen ppl don't like 'em. 25th Scarlett was adequate and it went down hill from there for her.

The hat-less Jaye is a very good headsculpt, and the 2nd Cobra boxset Baroness was also very good.

True but I'm not a fan of the plastic color of LJ's face. It's almost a little translucent. I guess I prefer the painted ones for better color. And yeah, that Baroness was pretty nice. However, I don't think I ever found a single one that I could say was painted well. There were a couple adequates, but between the glasses, the eyes, lashes and lips, the Chinese laborers apparently got tired and messed up at least one of the four on every figure.

Helix was just fine, as was ninja costume Scarlett, only let down by the paint job.

Ninja costume being the black reactive armor one?

It's wrong that Hasbro doesn't do good female head sculpts. They don't do good female G.I. Joe head sculpts. The Star Wars line is lousy with serviceable female heads.

True, but they can be as tiny as Resolute Scarlett's melon head was big, no?

My Baroness was good, as best as I recall. Haven't looked at it in a while. I get where you're coming from on the LJ point, but on the flip side you get RoC Baroness and Scarlett when you paint the entire thing.

Hasbro does melon and pin heads in all their lines. It happens, sadly.

Here's a close-up of the new ankle joint used on the upcoming Renegades Scarlett figure:

I don't like it.

It should, but I don't think it'll be a measurable improvement.

I don't like the new ankle joint.. I do like Hasbro attempts to increase the range of motion on Joe figures though.

I have never been so excited for a Storm Shadow. Ever. It's like the companion for that Ultimate SE from POC. I won't be using the silly red sash or alternate head, but I can't wait to get that Storm Shadow. It makes the 25th versions look plain silly.

He might be useful after a dye job and some paint work.

Dude, I'm right there with you. He's the ultimate Storm Shadow and I can't wait to add him to my collection. He comes with a lot of cool weapons to boot. Forget the Renegades head-sculpt and the red sash. I could care less about those parts.

im with you i dont like the new hands that come with reg duke either. i do like that they are trying to give them as much possibility as they can. but sometimes to much hurts a toy. i would like them to re work the chest to have a back screw. as im sick of breaking the necks/chests off just to get the arms out.

that SS is for both reg and 30anny so thats cool as i know mine will be left in the 30 anny look and will look killer next to SE.

The problem with those hands is that they were meant to seat in a sleeve cuff, not a bare forearm.

I like the new wrist articulation and down right dislike when a figure doesn't come with it. Your wrists aren't swivel-only, are they? Why should the figures be that way when they have the tech to do multiple directions?

Yea, the new wrists make posing with weapons so much better. Now over time I'm concerned with them getting loose if used too much but that's what you get for more articulation. Besides figures with bulky vests those wrists can pose much better than anything the 25th figures did. Now that ankle that the new Scarlett comes with may be an issue over time.

Problem with them ever considering a back screw again is they most likely would have to make the upper torso look bulky again. Most figures with the back screw have that upper that just looks too wide. Although it is a pain to take the new figures apart they do look better proportioned.

the prob i do have with the hands is they are very small and look bulky at the same time and cant hold all guns. they don't look good with bare arms at all and that sucks as i like the bare arm look for some joes. .so that means every joe has to have sleeves to look good ?

i am worried about them breaking if used to much or getting very lose. its a great thing but def needs to improve on them so they look good with bare arms and can hold all guns. like maybe make them look like the res duke hands with the new hands combined?

If they get loose, clear nail polish does do wonders. If you break one, you gotta stop playing rough.

I dunno what the fuck you are all doing to your toys to get all these loose joints. If you haven't picked up at least half-a-dozen tricks to tighten joints in this hobby I think you might be in the wrong one.

Could the joints be smaller? Sure, the Microman line already proves as much. Do I give a shit about such a small, aesthetic nit-pick? Not really. Better an ugly joint that works than one that looks good but leaves my figures firing from the hip like they did 25 years ago.

I just noticed that they got rid of the "U" & "E" on LL's knee pads. I'm actually relieved that they decided to do that. It bugged the crap out of me that the pre-production version had it, as if they would really go through the trouble of putting a "U" and an "E" on a knee pad. I'm really glad Hasbro made this change.

Although, I don't see his parachute harness any longer either, which is a bummer. The harness actually grew on me, as it made perfect sense for him to have it.

like others have said, and even you i think, he probably has the removable knee pads like perfect SE...

lets see if this wave even gets released

hah, so true...sadly...

Generals Joes has waves 3 & 4 and is doing reviews this week - Sci-fi is up now.

Nice to see that what I thought were alternate heads are actually alternate helmets.

Sci-Fi looks amazing. For some reason not as awesome as the JoeCon proto pics, but still awesome. They use less new parts than I realized, although those parts are pretty smart reuses, if you ask me.

I don't think we've seen that under-head yet, have we? It's not the same as Airtight. (AT is the one I'm really waiting to see, and Lifeline.)

lol im not taking about me not being able to fix them but for the masses you dont customize. well for me they need to look good as well as work. they have changed from that back in 2002 lol
