Law and Order will also be great custom material

Sci fi will be added to my Accelarator and Flash type figs for science fiction forces.

Airtight will be part of my teams in the "wasteland". I think a gasmask like the one that comes with the duke rengade would make airtight look very zombie figther-like.

just cuttin' corners as usual. Then again, it's not like they spend hours on head sculpt paint apps.

There's a good head sculpt under that slop, and I expect some beautiful repaints to come out.

I picked up one of the running change Steel Brigade figures today. Have to do a little work to the lower legs (They bow out wards), but it's a solid figure otherwise, and adds a little diversity to the troops.

Thank God the base figure for the ST's and SE Commando were a hit, because now Hasbro only has to make those two base figures for all their new military figures.

POC: SE Commando, Stalker and the SB are all the same figure and ther Cobra Trooper is a combo of The ST top and SE bottoms. What a Joke.

After buying my first Steel Brigade I came really close to just tossing it out the window.

For a figure/character that is suppose to be a troop, it seems to resemble a commando now with Tactical Air Jordans instead of boots. They give it a holster and no gun or silencer and a knife sheath without the knife. That's piss poor. Seems you either get the gun with no holster or a holster with no gun.

Sorry but they must have over produced these legs or base figure and cut back by just giving different dye colors.

They could have done better by at least giving it the POC Dusty legs to go with the sweater. Thank god it came with all the other goodies. I'll probably still buy a few for a team but I'm not impressed. Some said it's an improvement, I say it's lazy.

As for Stalker it's a cool figure but forget a pack with those dreads and the clips on that web gear don't match the weapon. 3 blades too? WTF.

I swapped out the web gear to POC SE minus the straps and my own little alterations. At least the clip pouches are closer to what his weapon has.

Look I like the figures but come on, they show these things at the shows with individualism and then sell them as re-paints of other figures in the same wave.

I know they're just toys and guys like us try to make them into something more.

Holsters and sheaths with no weapons, you gotta admit that's poor.

As for Stalkers gun it's cool to me as it's different than all the others and gives him something unique, plus the silencer fits and he can handle it well in shooting positions.

The ST and Dusty legs are appalingly similar. You'd have to look fairly closely to tell the differnece. Infact from 10 feet away the only apparent difference is the knees.


On the topic of SB, they were half-assed, thrown-together figures 20 years ago and they're the same today. Pretty faithful for Hasbro.


No accounting for taste on Stalker's gun. I prefer to keep my guns in the "factual" realm unless they're great fantasy designs. The whole "Stalker's gun doesn't match his spare magazines" was something we actually saw on HT.


If anything was to be bitched about on Stalker it was the lame throwback gun and that terrible machete sheath on his web gear.

Agreed on the weapon. (I was being facetious of course). My 25th version has exactly that kit setup from Marauder. Oh, and I fixed it for you. And, had they given him the proper weapon in the first place, those mag pouches would be just fine.

Wave 3 was listed by BBTS (and others) as shipping in November, but it hasn't yet. I expect K-tiger's estimate to be more accurate.

Many fans have questioned some of the character choices with the Renegades figures (myself included) when we get guys like Firefly or Law & Order before The Baroness, Destro, or Roadblock...

I think POC Beachhead with that new Marauder Lowlight vest would make a cool looking Low-Light. The browns would all go together. I wish the Marauder LL had a green vest and black cap. They weren't very true to the originals, and I kinda wish they'd ditched the blue altogether. That's the color that bugs me most about these guys. Otherwise, for repaints, they're pretty cool. Fortunately, that can be painted over easily enough.

Well, I don't want a Roadblock or Baroness or Destro figure from that show (well, maybe Destro... and Baroness would give us a new female sculpt...) but to me, it seems dumb that we got Firefly and Law, who were in single episodes each. For a prominent figure, especially Roadblock who was in EVERY episode, not to get a figure... That was kinda dumb planning.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we got Sci-Fi, Law and all the other awesome ones, but as far as planning goes with their "big" media push (failure) in Renegades... That was stupid. I mean hell, even do Roadblock instead of Ripcord, if there was a slot to swap out.
