I only plan on getting him for his knives. I'd like to hear how he is because the Ultimate Rockblock is the same mold with different upper arms, and if W.2 is good I may find a use for it.

I'm going to have to repaint a good deal of this Retaliation shit. The sculpting is pretty great (on the figures with full articulation, anyways) but the paint apps are either bad color choices or strange paint-allotment decisions.

Even 3-pack Firefly, who is the tits, needs all his buckles and details painted on his webgear. Those are details that weren't missed on a lot of the POC/30th stuff.

I thought you would enjoy the lack of paint apps on Firefly, you know being based off the ARAH version hahaha but on a serious note, I know what you mean. I need to head back over to Target in the next few weeks. Try to grab that joe pack and another Cobra one. I wanna fix up FF, but I don't wanna mess up the one.

Ah, I just figured being Hasbro, they'd reuse the shitty 25th one that kept getting reused. I may hold out for that one and cancel my plans of getting the V2 version. I'd all but forgotten about that "Ultimate" Roadblock. Isn't there a movie coming out at some point?

Judging by the fact wave 2 and 3 are hitting stores first, I'm thinking there's a good chance the later waves show. Add to it the typical His Stanker behavior of prematurely blowing their load at the first site of Joe packaging, I imagine the later waves will show up sooner than we expect.

If/when they do actually appear, they'll most likely go for $17-18 a pop, warm the pegs for 6 months, then hit the clearance stores at $3-5 each.

Despite the new tooling, I see Kwinn as more Club territory as far as popularity. But being "Comic-Con", I guess that a comic-exclusive figure would make sense. He's just a tad too niche, though.

While I'd rather see a few more Sunbow guys like a (actually decent) Monkeywrench, Frostbite, Cross-Country or even Keel-Haul first, that Kwinn is nice. I'd rather see him at retail or in the FSS than in a SDCC figure. Besides the new legs and head, he's technically a partial Footloose repaint with borrowed gear and new webbing.

Seems very likely to me. Special Ops could be the name for the brand after Retaliation, like POC came after ROC. And then Special Ops will cover all sizes of Joe including Micro Force. Also, Micro Force has been found at retail and has a different SKU than the ones listed in this thread. And like I said the two vehicle pricings are in line with 4" figure vehicle prices. Including the Tomahawk which is the same size as the Skystriker which means similar price.

I'm not saying that it's a for sure thing and I'm certainly not getting my hopes up. But right now more evidence points to it as a 4" offering as opposed to smaller scale.

It's got to be something to do with the Special Ops online game. A ninja army for $4? You can't get an army of 4" ninja figures for $4. Starter Set for $5? You can't get multiple 4" figures for $5. Vehicles for $25? You can't get multiple vehicles for that kind of money. It won't be anything for the 4" Joe scale that's for certain. Perhaps they're add-ons you can pruchase for the game or they're minis based on the game.
