Checking HTS I see the MARS Trooper set finally sold out, at $3.99. That sucks, I was going to buy a couple sets too.

Well, it looks like the SDCC Exclusives went up on HasbroToyShop.com around 11:07 or 11:08 am, and both Jinx figures sold out within just a couple of minutes. I grabbed the MU Masters of Evil 3-pack.

I managed to grab the last Unmasked Jinx, that they had in stock while I was inline at Comic-Con. They kept restocking through out the day though.

Even still, I was one away from not getting her or having to come back the next day. Hell if I was going to dedicate 3 or even 5 more hours of Comic-Con to that figure.

Well. I'm glad I snagged her and her sister on ebay yesterday. True, I spent about $50 more but still. I really wanted to get a second just to pose my unmasked Luck Be a Lady Ninja head on her.

*cackles manically*

One would think Hasbro could recycle those accursed MARS "troopers" and develop reusable food trays for the American homeless with the plastic.

The paper from the cardboard could also be recycled into toilet paper!

So people waited for days in front of a computer and then stuff sold out in seconds? That right there is internet gold! Looks like stock just went up for those that went to SDCC!

I was watching a tank only auction earlier. It had no bids with 3 hours left and now it's gone up.

It's no where near comedy gold compared to last year where everyone was stuck in cart limbo for an hour before anyone got a confirmation.

On the bright side, if these sold that fast, they may try to produce a little more of the movie version.

Apparently they (Joe collectors) are cursing out and generally being shitty to the CS reps at HTS.

Real mature.

Slaughter brought out the best in everyone I thought. An angry GI Joe collector is as dangerous as an injured Yorkie. It will keep whining and might bite if you come close but nothing that will cause any real damage.

Wow they sold out already? How about the HISS tank? I really thought there would be tons left over for HTS judging how poorly they sold at SDCC.

I overheard one guy saying they brought all the stock to the Con.. so maybe they really only had the reserve stock left over this time?

Looks like I missed the fun lol.

I agree with MB, Slaughtergate was the worst. That shit was sold out in seconds and I swear to fucking Allah that the variant(which should have been the standard version) NEVER went up on HTS.

Now honestly, are you at all surprised by that reaction?

Surprised? Not in the slightest. A small part of me perhaps hoped adults would act as such even if they didn't get their precious little toy kunoichi.

And now the desperate attempts to get some joker to sell one at cost is starting.

"i hate when you save and save for something like this especially when you have a kid...i hate when you bank on getting something awesome for a significant other aka Headman and you get to the lastpage and they are sold out. i literally cried bc i really wanted a freakin hisstank and red jinx for him. it was going to be a surprise. this freakin sucks.

:("

Not 11 EST, I was on their site around then and they weren't there. Must've been 12:07 or 12:08 EST?

I've given up on that hope a while ago. I realize it's a very vocal minority (I think), but boy, do they make me question my sanity for being part of "the Joe community" sometimes...

It was such fun over there...I spent an hour on the SDCC page. People bitching to no end after the fact. I got greedy and went back for the Hiss tank...ended up with nothing because the checkout leaves you on a page without the ability to remove anything and it says "Please remove out of stock items before placing your order" with a big ass BACK button. You click back a couple of times to get past all the account confirmation BS and get to the cart, remove the items, go back through confirmation and then checkout. Lost all three trying to remove the tank. Oh well.

And yes the Jinx figs and tank were gone in less than one minute.

That was my mistake last year. Went back for the sky striker and lost the order.

I'm just wondering. Do these crossover exclusives do enough to convince Hasbro that a crossover line would work?

I wouldn't mind something like the PacRats as transformers being sold at retail.

Considering how much stuff I see at ROSS with the cross over lines it's hard to say if it really works. I guess it would highly depend on the lines that are crossed and what figures they used. It's a serious gamble.

Yeah don't confuse my jealousy over how much retail support transformers gets with logical business sense. I have ideas, the difference is the people working for Hasbro do to, they just have a firmer grasp of what the company goal is.

Like the modular terrordrome that's been hinted at.

I don't know if I'd call that "hinted at" - what's-his-face said he'd like to do one, but that doesn't mean anything. Right?

That's what I mean. I kind of worded it funny. It's a "great idea" as long as it stays on paper. I've been saying that they need to rethink playsets but it's not my money that has to develop it.

They couldn't even do a modular MASS Device right, what indication do they have that they could manage a modular Terrordrome?

I can only imagine what a "mobile Terrordrome" would translate to.

Mass depends on several different parts. A modular terrordrome would probably use several of the same parts.
