But seriously... there are a few things you could take a little more time with, and these things would really stand out more. My eye picks up on the helmet and vest/gear first, being that it's all painted the same color and then dry-brushed all the same. If you mixed that up a bit with colors, it would really pop much more. Things like the boots and kneepads... try dry-brushing with a slightly lighter similar color, instead of using the poo-poo brown all the time. For instance: black leather boots will have grey scuffs and wear marks.

Little update... longer pants, calf pockets, and cuff straps on the sleeves (no more boxes!).
nice, very nice. The way you have begun being a sculpting guru, has gotten me off my ass to finally buy my first batch of greenstuff. Now I just need to find something to sculpt. haha.

Thanks for the critique! I definitely need to go back and fix some minor problems with a few customs. I'll see what I can do
No problem. What you're doing looks good as is, but with a few additions they could be even better.

Thanks, man. Yeah, go for it! The easiest way to start, imo, is look at stuff you wish/want to be different, or better. Maybe it's just a sleeve cuff, or even an additional pocket.
Start small, until you get the hang of it! If I can get back your way, maybe I could sculpt a few things as examples.
sounds good. I decided to start with trying to make sleeve cuffs above the elbow. Been working on the SDS Soft master and I want his sleeves rolled up, so I am gonna try on him.
No problem. What you're doing looks good as is, but with a few additions they could be even better.
I'll get on that when I head home actually. Also go back and touch up my team! I've noticed a few things I can fix.
^^^ Good! I want to see how you make out. Just remember... take your time, and think about what you're doing. Does it make realistic sense? If so, do it.
Fantastic custom with slick paint work... nearly put paint job but knew Eddie be on that like a rash as it sounds dodgy lol... anyways, I really like the balaclava with the beret combo.

I would suggest the basic color scheme I followed, but F that! I wanna see how out of the box you go.
What was cool was how fast and efficient he is at doing it, all the while listening to me blab blab blab without getting distracted.

With his covert Ops background as well, If that was indeed a special forces, he could wear green.
Black is army wide now, not just Rangers. Since early 2000's.
Edit - Wiki says Tan is the new Ranger beret since 2001. looks like the 75th regiment only though.

Para rescue wear maroon. Combat controllers wear red. 75th still wear black while others wear tan. I don't know if he qualifies for green but from what I've read, most greens don't actually wear it.

And Obi, do the upper arms need just a slight bit of sculpting on the lower edge where the lower arm meets, or is that an optical illusion because you have yet to paint them?

I'm beyond annoyed that the Delta figure was released with a damned vehicle. I used my only one for my Steeler fix, but I want one to replace my SBDelta and then like 5 more. In green, that makes about the best base you could want.
I am starting to get a little tired of seeing the Shock Trooper and SE torsos, but if we could get like, 2 more torso combinations that are similar, I'd be okay with seeing them used as often as they are now, so long as the other 2 were alternated in.
I agree 100%. The ST torso is still hampered by the shoulder joint. I may to remove some in order to get better range out of the arms. I"m hoping to get some work done on him tonight.
I could add some to it, but it's ok really. I think the angle and colors are throwing it off a bit in that pic. I've base painted the entire thing in black, and it looks fine.
Obi, what are the upper legs? That's the best leg combo I have seen I just cannot figure out the uppers...
I've used this combo a few times, because it works... Ret wave 1 3-pack SE upper with Shock trooper lowers and Res SS knees.
