After I purged my collections last year I swore I was done with SW, but the Fett got me. I hope they stick to mostly OTC stuff. I am torn on the Big Slave I. I don't even have room for my F-18 Red Devil.
I wish it were a tad larger but it is nice piece. All I need now is MR Y-wing. Supposedly Efx collectibles is working on a new Slave I but that has been in the pipeline for awhile
Mine will reside in a box for most of it's life next to my BMF, but I can accept that for SW vehicles. It's just the way it goes until I can get my ass into another house with mancave.

Does it strike anyone else as kinda sad that $199 is a good deal? If I hadn't jumped on one in the five minutes last holiday that they had them 50% off, I'd likely be taking advantage of this... buying what should be a $100 toy for $200 with a smile. That's messed up.
What kills me Is I saw this thing on clearance in Walmart for $40. (wasn't colecting yet & had no where to put it.)
Yeah, the original was on clearance forever at wally for a range of prices under a benjamin. But TRU decided they could double the MSRP when they got the vintage packaging. WTF

All of the newest versions have retooled cockpits with ejection seats. I think at this point they have redone the Tie, Bomber, Vader and Interceptor versions.
The most recent bomber was a WM exclusive a couple of years ago. Not sure about the releases before that.
Pretty sure any of them in the last 4yrs.
The Tie Interceptor is an exclusive from Amazon and on sale this week.
Tie bomber was a Walmart exclusive about 3yrs ago and I forget where the big winged Tie was from (TRU?), but it has red glass in the cockpit.

Yeah, I'm assuming that it's the one with the battle damage paint apps. I personally like the one with the greenish blue plaint app, but a lot of praise going on with the battle damaged one, so I'm kind of leaning towards that if someone can convince me otherwise.
Nacho was referring to the red window one I pictured on the last page. I just know that each of the ejection seat cockpit updates ended up being exclusives with prices between $40 and now $60. Are they worth it? Not really in the scheme of things, but if you want a proper Tie, your hands are tied.

FYI, if anyone ordered the big Slave-I at first sight @ $100 expecting the "pre-order price guarantee" to match any future lower prices, Amazon did not price-match. You have to call and complain. WTF.
That's what I told the girl in Bangalore that answered the phone. She tried to convince me that the price changed only after my order shipped. I called baloney, noting that the price changed about two days after the pre-order went up, i.e. about six weeks ago. She could not explain this, and I have read others on different forums with the same problem.
I looked into it, and I think that the "pre-order price guarantee" only applies to books, movies, music, and software. I've never preordered toys from them before, so I had no reason to think that they were not going to be treated in the same fashion. Now I know, on toys, I have to cancel and reorder.

Damnit. I just ordered mine 5 minutes ago and it said: This product ships in it's own packaging and if you want it concealed upon delivery, check the gift option. Of course I did not check the gift option.

I just did a quick ebay search and one sold for that much. I'm not sure if it's a good price or there aren't a lot on there right now. I'd personally hold off for the WM exclusive one that came out a few years ago(I actually remember seeing one at WM over the last year, lol).

That's the one w/ the ejection seat, I don't think the 30th has it(but I guess that's all up to you, to me it doesn't matter because when are you going to see it, lol).
