That's what I told the girl in Bangalore that answered the phone. She tried to convince me that the price changed only after my order shipped. I called baloney, noting that the price changed about two days after the pre-order went up, i.e. about six weeks ago. She could not explain this, and I have read others on different forums with the same problem.
I looked into it, and I think that the "pre-order price guarantee" only applies to books, movies, music, and software. I've never preordered toys from them before, so I had no reason to think that they were not going to be treated in the same fashion. Now I know, on toys, I have to cancel and reorder.
And here's a nice tidbit from the rebelscum forums:
Got mine today which is great, now the bad part.... no brown mailer, shipping labels all over the box and my box looks like it got wet and ran over. So if they all are shipped this way, no one will be saving it for the vintage box.
WTF. Half the people buying it are buying it for the vintage box. That's kinda the point with most of these vintage releases. I love Amazon dearly, my favorite retailer of all time, but they are shitting the bed on this one.
